The military is doing an excellent job. You say that have not won since WW2? They have not lost a war since WW2. If you have not noticed, since our enemies cannot defeat us on the battle field, they attack us through the media. It is not the soldiers losing the wars, it is the general public. If the public were to stand behind our Military, we could have stayed and won the wars afters WW2.

I agree, there are some flaws (Rules of Engagment for example), but overall, I think we just have differing opinions. For I believe the service men and women are doing a fine job given the situation they have been put in; however, I do recognize your right to disagree with me.
As a side point, there are some hired guns in Iraq. Blackwater is a prime example. Although I am sure you mean a much higher scale than this, your opinion has a base in some reality.

The people who fought and died to protect me have not won a war in DECADES. I want some return on my investment and right now we just don't have the right people in place. A private military is the way to go.
