  • To Tim: There were post-Vietnam safeguards built into our force structure and other areas to try to keep us from being in that type of conflict again. The ability of this administration to use contractors and mercenaries circumvented those safeguards. If you'll listen, there is a question. If the safeguards we had didn't work to keep us out of a war similar to Vietnam, then what safeguards need to erected now to prevent another Iraq in the future?

  • What the hell are you talking about? You're making a statement, that's not a question! There's never a "safeguard" agianst any out come, nor premise for that matter. Come on man, this is a debate, not a soap-box. We get it, you're agianst the war, against Bush (BLA-BLA-BLA!) If you took the time to research, the 9 trillion in debt is INTEREST on debt. That's a small fraction in the gross GNP.
