@knoxrox167 I hate to tell you, but a good singer *does* have some control over their vibrato and tone of voice. How else could singers like David Bowie or Thom Yorke sing in completely different styles and registers on different songs? It IS possible to imitate the style of another singer.

Don't get me wrong, I rather like Devendra, but both his early 70s era dippy-hippy image and singing style have clearly been influenced by artists such as Marc Bolan.

I don't like the video with the song, it seems like it's trying WAY too hard to be extremely happy and carefree as if there's nothing wrong in the world. I recognize that the song is upbeat, but it's overkill with the hyper-happy video. Devendra as an artist is not oblivious to his surroundings.
