  • all you people expecting 'subtlety and precision' from Seguin make me laugh. he is as precise and subtle as a dog lapping water. having said that, I'm sure Seguin would make a terrific gym instructor.

  • This piece is not supposed to be subtle. Ravel takes the stereotypical waltz form and, by the end, destroys it to show the collapse of the old world following WWI. The ending is absolutely terrifying.

  • I don't really like this. It has good ebb and flow, but it lacks all the subtlety and precise charm for which Ravel is known.
