Go to Bear Records for all of these songs that was in the can when Martin was alive...including the 'bloopers'. Only wish that Sony had some for the short time he was with them. Martin did some great songs while with them....love Georgia Blood
Actually the original version of this song was a Bill Monroe hit from the 40's. Bradley Kincaid did a still earlier somewhat different version. To me Marty is one of the few non-bluegrass singers that could do justice to this one.
Thank you so much for your reply.. I think you are right..the song I was looking for was..Man walks amoung us....Someone said it was the only song he never recorded or sold, or something to that effect. GB!
1 second ago I heard a song sung by Marty some years ago and have never been able to find it..or have ever heard it again. All I can remember was it was something about an eagle flying and it made me cry......Anyone have any ideas? I have searched every album i came across. He will always be the greatest!
@BarbyCurtis70 I agree with helenmartyfan. I think the song you're talking about is Man Walks Among Us. I love Marty Robbins music and have a friend who plays guitar and sings Marty's songs for me. Marty was his all-time favorite singer too.

@BarbyCurtis70 You're probably looking for MAN WALKS AMONG US. It is a song that Martin wrote on one of his many short 'getaway' trips back to the desert of Arizona, where he was from. He'd go out to the desert to be alone and he just wrote about what he felt when he was there....much like most of his other 'deep' songs that he penned. This is one of very best songs and gives a good insight to the man. One of my all time favorites.
Listening to Martys voice I guess it about 1953
