After the war in the Nanking city, the population was increased. TSZC documents read that in January 1938 the population was 250,000. Chinese government said 300,000 people were killed by Japanese. Also, Mr. Timperley who was an advisor to the Chinese Nationalist governments Ministry of Information was paid by the Ministry of Information for editing the book What War Means which was written about Japanese atrocity.

(Part5)When the Japanese supply corps came to the Nanking, many Chinese in rags streamed out of from the big house. They could get rice, bottle of milk, and tobacco from Japanese troop. Readers, can you imagine?
(Part4)All of the Chinese people in Nanking put armbands of the Rising-Sun flag, which was Japanese flag, and they smiled. It was wonderful! The poor Chinese entered into the big house which was used by rich people before. The poor people pretended to live a luxurious life. Anyway nobody was living in the big house.
