This is my most fave songs that I remember from Pure Moods. I would hum this song in my sleep. I am nuts about this song.

The song is called My love wears forbbiden colours,The music was written by Ryushi Sakamoto, who was in a 80,s group called Japan along with another guy called David Sylvian. David Sylvian sang the words to this beautiful song. The music was used as the main title track to the film Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence, which Sakamoto stared in,and i am not sure,but i think he wrote,and directed the film. His other music in the film is also excelent like the seed and the sower.

Actually this song is the 17th track of the original 1994 release of Pure Moods. The 1997 re-release doesn't have it. I have both CDs in my collection.

@alexstore1 When YouTube identifies the track (by unique audio fingerprint) as the Ryuichi Sakamoto track I think that pushes it beyond irrefutability ;-)

Reminds me of when I was a kid though and listening to this countless times in the car on the way to school, thanks for bringing back the memory.

Thank you for the upload, but this really isn't the right song as others have already said. Trust me, I have all four CDs, and this song is on the THIRD Pure Moods CD, not the first one. It's called "Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence," and the artist is Sakamoto Ryuichi.
