I went with it and I had a hard time getting the truck not to open by itself under the bass so I think I'd have to say it turned out pretty good. I had to really tighten trunk spacers to make enough pressure to keep it from popping open. It slaps pretty dam hard for type R's and for how small the ports are...... they're also above the wheel well humps...

the amp is like 300 dollars and trust me, planet audio amps are true wattage and are straight flawsin man. Just as good as rockford fosgate but ALOT cheaper.
nice man i just uploaded my video of my type Rs it was rushed and at night. i will make another few in the day light and maybe will include the boxes they came in or something because they are in a custom built bandpass and sure as hell will never been seen until they blow or i decide i wanna try a sealed like i first wanted. the installers swore to me that a bandpass would be better. its almost too loud.
I custom built it for that car for those speakers. Although you can't see it because I covered it with the carpet to make it look straight and flat, but the box notches over the small humps on my the wheel wells.....
