GTA SA and VC were the best GTAs out of the best series on earth but i think GTA3 deserves more praise since everyone acts like it was bad because it came before the brilliance of VC and SA when it created the awesome GTA game mechanics and was a brilliant game in its own right. (Probably 3rd best GTA) Also, as a random sidenote the GTA3 sound effects seem really memorable for some reason...

I couldnt get GTA 4 to play without the lag, its a real let down from what I saw in San Andreas, no offense but San Andreas was friendlier on the computer than GTA 4 so all in all, I will not take another shot at GTA 4 till rockstar games fixes the fucking FPS issue and takes out anti aliasing all together and makes the game "friendlier" on old computers that were around before the game came out, like the ones with WINDOWS XP.
