I think Derren sets these things up just to confuse us even more. He knows we'll speculate and read into these things, but really it's just to make it look like there's alot more to his 'tricks' than there really is. Nonetheless a very intelligent showman and I do enjoy his shows.

Derren did not reveal the numbers until after they were picked. Can't be a prediction, on that basis alone. Camera trick most likely. Also, the '"wisdom of crowds" example is for the weight of an ox. Something than can be estimated, unlike the randomness of lotto numbers. I love his antics though.

They used a simple split screen trick. Using motion control cameras to replicate the slightly obvious camera shake identicle to what was shown live. This would alow the balls to be changed and to alow the full screen to be seamlessly stitched back in. Pretty low to use camera tricks in an illusion

It could easily be done in two shoots, and it's shot so that it's just traffic first, then an empty street with Derren walking backwards and pausing appropriately as timed, following exactly the same path, which could be done if the camera was fixed to a rail. Then both shots are composited to get this video, with post-processing dealing with reversing things. The guy on the bike was probably an actor too, interacting with a spot where Derren will stand.

@loveablemoggy This is a pretty elaborate VFX shot. All the cars are CGI (obviously) and each character was shot on different takes. The woman who appears to be walking backwards with the woman walking normally is a perfect example of them.

A computer controlled camera can easily follow the exact movement of the previous take. To make things easier, ALL OF IT WAS SHOT BEHIND A GREEN SCREEN.

To top it off, look at the shadow the skateboarder. Around 0:26 his shadow just appears and looks jagged (more spill). Watching the skateboard guy in reverse actually illustrates it better

at the beggining of the prediction programme he shows you the two cameramen in the room, and from the one at the back you can see that the main camera man is standing up with the camera; ie. it has no support.

it would be almost impossible to hold a camera that large and heavy perfectly still for 10 minutes without the aid of some stand/ other means of support.

That is why Channel 4 puldnt let him buy a ticket. The advert does indeed have hundreds of clues. But obviously it was made using several recordings and overlapping them. We can tell this simply from the shadows. For example the bus does not have a large shadow yet the "BLACK & RED" Lorry does. Also little girl has a shadow which is on her foot, however, the woman beside does not have this shadow. There are plenty more clues... you search yourself :-)
