  • Well obviously have no childhood...

  • You should to a rap song called "why I hate disney, but love kermit". Its the trend just now.

  • I disagree.I can't hate Disney.I grew up watching Tarzan jumping in the jungle,Oliver and his friends jumping on cars at new York city and all the disney magic.Sure,I like the muppets as well, and they just made muppets have a little of disney magic.whatever fir good or bad,it's your call.

  • Shalom Sesame - Israeli

Cookie Monster is still named "Cookie"...but why keep the name when he doesn't consume cookies?

  • I <3 DISNEY AND DINEYLAND!!!!!!! 4EVER AND EVER!! :D

  • smoking kills you

  • why the fuck does disney get muppets and marvel they should still be columbia

  • I'm not against it. Honestly, the Muppets were whoring out stuff even in the pre Sesame Street days. Coffee, jello, etc, all sorts of products. Yet, Henson was able to use that medium as a creative outlet and, with a few bad exceptions (ie Muppets singing with the Jonas Brothers & Hannah Montana... ew), most of the ways Disney has been using the Muppets have been pretty damn cool. Plus, if it gives enough exposure for that new Muppet movie, I'm all for it.

  • Hey baby I love monster from the muphets but beker was cool too. However ever since the death of the man who started the Muphets Jim Henson. Once he died the light went out and the voises were off. I have great memories of watching the Muphets just before bed time and my parents liked it too because there was always things included for the adult viewer. Dark crystal was dark and beautiful.

    Cheers Christine

  • A little off topic but talking of dark films, have you ever seen Pans Labyrinth.

If not, I highly recommend it: /watch?v=EqYiSlkvRuw

  • @DeeDemonwitch Actually, I have seen Pan's Labyrinth. Amazingly dark, and even frightening.

  • I agree! They're used to get people's attention and the movie is all about the actor or actresses in it to let them make money :( Lame! Agree with yah though :)

  • Years ahead of you, sweety - I've been against Di$ney since they did away with the SoCal resident and military discounts for Disneyland.

That... and Roadside Romeo (their name is associated with it for North American distribution... there's way too many people who VERY wrongly credit Disney for that flick).

I'm with you sister. Fuck Disney!

  • @Alisterwolf66 Rock on! *hugs* I miss you, babe. Message me occasionally, huh?

  • Ahh, so you like "Dark Crystal", do you know about Brian Froud's art?

  • @zarkoff45 Absolutely! I didn't know it was Brian Froud until I watched the behind the scenes of The Dark Crystal. I was amazed!

  • Disney's abuse of fictional characters, it's like Catholic priests and choir boys.

  • @zarkoff45 My heart nearly broke when they bought up the rights to Winnie the Pooh :(

  • @DeeDemonwitch Actually, they had a few problems with that over the years. For a long time they couldn't use the name "Christopher Robin" for a while because the people who owned the rights to the name fought against Disney. They claimed they took the characters from them. Hence why you haven't seen his little sugary-sweet English self for a while. lol

  • @mylovelydame21 I did not know that

  • Agreed. Muppets are the shit ^_^ Grover is my all time favorite from Sesame Street and Beaker and Swedish Chef from Muppets. I also share your irritation with what they're doing with the Cookie Monster. I understand why they're doing it, but as a parent it almost kind of insulting that they think so little of my parenting skills to teach my kids to eat right.

  • @ArielannaDragonBlood Sure it may work on some kids but they shouldn't have to rely on a fake character like that. But I digress..... You make alot of good points about Disney. I haven't liked Disney much since The Little Mermaid came out.

  • @ArielannaDragonBlood I loved The Little Mermaid (she was the reason I wanted to learn to sing growing up), but my favorite film was Beauty and the Beast. I'm a sucker for a love story when they overcome their obvious flaws and get together. lol But after that... eh... they stopped being edgy. The edgiest thing they did with the latest one was make the princess black. And HOOOOOO did the racists get their panties in a bunch!

  • @ArielannaDragonBlood Grover was my favorite, too! OH... the Swedish Chef... how can anyone not love him? And yeah, the Cookie Monster has been made vegan and I'm not pleased about it. LOL Honestly though, a lot of parents just give their kids a bunch of crap just to shut them up. Trust me... I work with them. So maybe it was necessary.

  • Animal!!!

    Swedish Chef!

  • Though I do like pixiehollow T___T

I need a detox program T____T Help pwease?

  • @MistressArte *smacks you* NO! BAD! BAD, Mistress, BAD!

  • @mylovelydame21 *Blushes and giggles* ohh wait was that suppose to be my reaction?

  • woman you don't make enough vids and your not on skype AT ALL !!!! GET BACK HERE YOU SEXY BITCH!

  • @RHPSmagenta LOL I know, I've been bad... I've been busy (ahem) with my boyfriend and getting prepared for the new school semester. I really gotta focus this time around, too.

  • I agree. There are some humorous moments coming in the new movie for sure, like I love the Swedish Chef at the end of their latest trailer in the kitchen with the flamethrowers, saying "Say hello to mah little friend!". But yeah, the live action they've thrown into it makes the muppets an afterthought in their own movie. I do love the Muppets channel on YouTube tho. New shorts that are really funny. I think they need to stick to that format and bring The ORIGINAL Muppet Show back.

  • @SmilingSkeptic I wish they would bring The Muppet Show back... but now that Disney owns them.. ehhhh... I saw that clip of the Swedish Chef. THAT looks funny. And ya know... I've seen those short clips. They're cool. I just wish they'd treat them properly. For fuck's sake, Kermit is in the Smithsonian, okay? They're a precious resource. USE THEM AS SUCH.

  • Disney made Muppet Treasure Island.

    Disney owned Muppets since 2004.

    Gonzo.... Sweet????

You saw Muppet Show he is evil!!!! He was DARTH GONZO!!! He keeps abducting Miss Piggy and attempted rape of Miss Piggy.

Disney owns ESPN, ABC, Miramax, Touchstone, Marvel.... Biography Channel, and the History Channel just announced that Disney does not own bitches, they have dumb sluts on Lifetime. So go to SOAPnet and cry a river.

Disney is intelligent why they own The Baby Einstein Company.

  • @TheStormchaser1 I know that Disney made Muppet Treasure Island. But even though they made it, it didn't feel like a Disney movie, ya know what I mean? It felt like a Jim Henson production because the Muppets weren't tagged onto the movie just to cash in from the Muppet fans. And Gonzo was a confused little alien! He didn't know that trying to force someone into marrying you was bad! I stand by my Gonzo!

Oh GOD, they own Baby Einstein, TOO?!

  • @mylovelydame21 Should look at everything Disney owns :)) You will be amazed.

  • @TheStormchaser1 My god... they've invaded. lol To me, making a bunch of different Mickey Mouse Club rip-offs (LET'S BE HONEST, ALL OF THOSE LIVE-ACTION SHOWS ARE) is NOT why I loved Disney as child. I loved their cartoons, their classic films, and their full-length feature animations. Nothing they make now is even remotely like those films, and it disappoints me that they're so insanely popular.

Wait... Marvel? REALLY? JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!

  • @mylovelydame21 ABC no wonder they took V off the air :)) You are lucky I saw this video of yours so I can comment on this video to the extreme =)) You could have hit Disney much harder. History Channel, Lifetime, Biography according to Disney. And, Boycott ESPN they own it too =)) Get whip and whip boyfriend if he even puts on ESPN. Yes everyone playing sports should have Mickey Mouse logo on their uniforms.

  • FALCOOOOOOR!

    (Sorry! Heheh.)

Yeah, I sort of get what you mean. Disney is so commercialized these days. I prefer movies that are more individual and creative.

  • @Nicci736 LOL A lot have that reaction. Disney used to be that way... then they lost their balls. They're so afraid of upsetting people (because of the commercialism) that now they make a bunch of safe cartoons and live-action shows. There's no danger or thought put into these. They're not trying to make people think creatively or inspire them... they're just pushing out a bunch of mindless crap to keep the cash flow constant. It's sad, really.

  • Stupid! You're completely wrong!

They're NOT "b*tches" for Disney in any way. Disney's been doing LOTS of great things with them and for them, so knock it off and be eternally grateful!!!

  • @disneynut06 I had a feeling you wouldn't like this. I'm sorry you don't agree, but to me... Disney isn't about creating thought-provoking animations anymore. They're all about making money. They're good at that... but they have a tendency to step on the little guy. I think they're ruining what The Muppets are all about: creativity and having fun for fun's sake.
