it is so cute that they tried to make their own cure. it is cute and sad.

The main character has AIDS and the plot is about a botched naturalistic cure, and yet this movie remains one of the brightest, most optimistic spiritual movies of the 1990s. And the satire of the scientific method in this part is really quite funny. A movie like this comes one in an actor's lifetime. Brad Renfro helped make it all work.
