  • Ali looks great here, after 3 years off, and for a heavyweight he still moves super fast and can still move.

  • my grandfather was the doctor for quarry

  • That kraut needs to shut the fuck up

  • beautiful reflex at 2:00

  • Ali should have a fin on his back like a shark.Count how many shots he hits Q uarry above the eye after he cuts him.Ali was a great finisher!!!

  • I actually went to this fight - in October 1970 - in the Omni (now the Omni is gone)!!!! Pretty good seats about 40 rows away for $20!!!!!

And what always amazed me about Ali was that reguarless of how you attacked him - you never really got a good solid hit on him - almost never!!!!!!!! For a very large man - he was extremely quick!!!

  • CASSIUS MARCELLUS CLAY. Man, what a cool name his parents gave him. My ex girlfriend and I think that this is the coolest name, and spoke about naming our son that name. I respect Muhammed for standing up for his beliefs and holding to his oppinions, but man, what a cool birth name he was given. As for this fight, Muhammed totally outclassed Quarry, but Quarry was one tough S.O.B. He could take some serious abuse. This fight reminded me of Apollo Creed vs .Balboa. Adriannnnnne!!!!!!!!!

  • your a fucking jack-ass

  • @philgunman : thanks :-)

  • @philgunman Hey man, I'm bored and thought I'd pick your brain for minute - Who do you think are the top 5 "pound for pound" fighters of all-time? It's a difficult question, very subjective, but your opinion really matters a lot to me. Ponder it for a few and let me know. Beauty.

  • @theatlantean2 Pac-man is all I think of as far as pound for pound.

  • @philgunman, u serious, the greatest pound for pound boxer EVER was Sugar Ray Robinson

  • true

  • Quarry Was A Good fighter. Just A little to small for those bigger fighters. Poor guy took allot of punches over the years

  • @boscobear33 You are right,if there was a cruiserweight division then.He would have been champ. However he was a tough 195 pounder.

  • ali had 2 b the greatest boxer, he never fought a bum, jerry quarry was 1 of the best boxers in his time had to b in the top 10 of the 60s and early 70s

  • @jihad129108 whats up with ur fucked up name?

  • @jihad129108 At his absolute peak ('69-'73), only Ali and Frazier were better than Quarry. Even Foreman knew better than to face the likes of him then, especially after what he did to sluggers like Mac Foster, Ron Lyle, and Earnie Shavers. He was also far and away the best counterpuncher in the heavyweight division back then. I agree with others on here that his size would've made him a natural cruiserweight today and most likely would've gotten himself a world title. He certainly had the goods.

  • @PeekaPeep the man slugged with shavers and KO'ed him, nuff said, lol only flaw he had was bad skin, he get cut easy

  • Yes, he stopped Shavers in 1. Ali looks better here than against Bonavena and Frazier for sure. Mind you, Quarry was a counter-puncher, those other guys went right after Ali and crowded him.

  • quarry stopped shavers in rd 1, right?

  • He looks much better here than he did against Bonavena and Frazier.

  • Muhammad ali the greatest

  • What the hell is wrong with the commentators lol!!

  • ali was so dominate!!! Ali was 30 and 0 here.

  • Excellent video!

  • damn i think ali cut quarry with a jab becuase right after ali jabs him he checks his face with his glove and thats the only time he did it wow a cutting jab

  • godamn alis jab was fuckin fast and hard
