Actually that's exactly what I do when I'm not filming. Keep in mind, when I'm filming, I have only one try to cover the original song, include my own stuff, play solos, and make as few mistakes as possible. I wish I could play freer while recording (and believe me, I'm working on it) But for the time being, it takes quite a bit of concentration.
