i got videos up now. both the mustang and the altered in the video responses above have the same motor in them. we opted to put the motor from the stang in the altered, after the one that was in it when the guy bought it blew up. you were right about our 1/8 mile time too... mid 7's was the only ET slips i could find on the stang before we got it running good, and a 6.43 in the altered (btw, that was my first pass in the altered... about a 1/2 to 3/4 second slower than it usualy runs)
well a 350 on alot of nitrous will cut a high 11 in the 1/4 ...but no way is that motor as fast you say ...to have a 350 do as yu say ...it would cost more than your willing to spend.....

like i said before, we had to make do in some areas. i would love to build a 540 but i can't afford groceries much less a bbc. that car wasn't mine, i just built it for a guy who also had little to no money to spare. i'm not sure what any of our 1/8 mile times were. we run at a 1/4 mile track and pay little attention to 1/8 mile times. we concentrate on 60ft and 1/4 mile times. if i can find my old e/t slips i'll post some times on here. i'm sure we were in high 5's or low 6's for 1/8mile

first off, i do like your stang. looks good runs good. however, do you really find it necessary to be an ass? nobody told us it was cool or helpfull to run pipes out the front. we did it for cost effectiveness and build speed. we don't a lot of money to throw in a car, so we have to make do with what we can. running the pipes out the front saved us about $400 in supplies. had you read my other posts you would have known that. this entire build only cost a couple K. can you say that?
there is no way you are making 650hp and only in the 11's (and why would you use a powerglide? do you like going slow?, i would have used the 700r4 of a turbo 400 and run 4.50 rear gears)
i have built menny fox mustangs and with 400hp and a suspension and tires that launch well you can run 10.8's all day and be dead reliable (ad in on a stock 5.0 with a 200shot of nitrous a shift kit, 10inch slicks,shocks,and controll arms and there you go 10's
the reason for the low times is the tranny... we only had one of the two speeds working when we were running the car. first gear all the way at 11 1/2 sec is pretty damn good if you ask me. if we had second gear i'm sure it would run 10's. and the gears were 4.11. as for the powerglide... drag racing is about consistency, not just speed. less shifts = more consistent passes = more wins. as soon as nos is added to a rig in my mind its no longer american muscle. i'm all about american muscle.
