  • I like your creativity so much! good luck bro

  • The Mendel and the fringe? The 306 area code? Lol, you must live in the Saskatoon area, am I right?

You are so true about modern art practices. What is called art these days..*hangs head in shame*

Very creative application video, I found it pretty cool. I think you might not have gotten a call is because they thought it was a joke. Saskatoon is also a very artsy city, so there might have been more qualified people with degrees and experience with art.

  • If I had private shofer then you would have been my next hire.

Sadly I only have a bike.

  • haha this is great. shame you didn't get called for an interview :( really thought it was a funny, creative video :p

  • That was hillarious! very cool animation!

    Congratulatons!

  • I can't believe they didn't even call you

  • Awesome! so is the main point of this video to plug your band? very entertaining, from a marketing perspective it's really good, I'm impressed :)

  • No - believe it or not, the main point of the video was actually to try and get a job at a local art gallery. If I'd been trying to promote my band I would probably have included some of our music in the video. In retrospect this would have been a better use of my time. Anyway, thanks for watching.

  • You wanted a job at an art gallery. You should have realized that they don't want creative people in places like that.

  • I love it! I'm shocked you didn't get the job, it was brilliant!

  • This is very good :)

But i know how these applications go.. they look for a reason why not to call you... not having a degree and not being qualified in most cases will get you cut unfortunately.

  • I really did Ampiolihge on the pongirghile

  • "Still Alarmingly Pale"

    Hilarious!

    Love all your animations!

  • love this!

  • Great ... I'd like to use this in my Career Development classes.

  • Go ahead. I presume you would wish to use it as an example of How Not To Develop Your Career...?

  • I can see why you didn't get an interview with your no experience and stuff, but if I worked at that art gallery, I'd at least want to meet you.

  • excellent video. your pace is slow but the sudden transitions in your humor are great. whammo!

  • kreeative...like the technique

  • Fantastic! I love your videos. I've been emailing them to my friends all morning.

  • good facial expressions, u used 6 lines to make his whole face move... obviouslt the crossword one is the best one by far, did you do the voices for that too?

  • very entertaining..giggled a lot!

The crossword one is awesome too!

  • It's morning now, all because of your ridiculous videos. Yes, you made the sun come up before I went to bed. Thanks a lot. But I did laugh out loud at the "excellent graphic design skills", especially. And I sent email to various friends:"Arly LaTosh! LONG LIVE HUBERT QUIZLET!" Hopefully they will click the accompanying youtube link. Now that I'm inspired...do they still give away free demo/temp copies of Flash?

  • Yeah, I believe it's a free 30-day demo. Can't guarantee that it's fully functional, though...you should check the Adobe website.

Thanks for helping to spread the Garson love.

  • This was excellent and I enjoyed all your videos. You have great skills.I am just learning to use MS Paint in combination with movie maker.I am teaching myself and so far I really enjoy this stuff. What do you use?

  • I use Flash. When I first started out, I actually played around with animating using Windows Movie Maker. But it was so frustrating I gave up. Flash is a million times easier and more flexible; if you can get your hands on a copy it will make your animating experience go much more smoothly. Good luck.

  • Quiet obvious, why you didn't get the job. First, no education, second, no excellent graphic design skills. Please, don't get me wrong. You have great ideas and surely are an autodidact, but you totaly show a lack of understanding for typography, conception and the classical educational background of a graphic designer. An excellent graphic designer wouldn't bend typography and wouldn't use cliparts. And if this was used ironic, then it didn't work. None the less, have fun!

  • boy, you don't get it deksta... it's a BRILLIANT piece! Hillarious!!! Bravo! I think your voice is the funniest part of your vids. I LOVE subtle, dry humor! Can't wait for more!

  • I take your criticism, deksta187. Maybe I should take a design course so that the professionals can wean me from my unseemly dependence on clip art. Meanwhile I'll just have to resign myself to unemployability. Thanks for watching.

  • stop being so nice! you should punch deksta in the face..

  • If i was a carpenter, i'd reem you out with the tang of my file.

  • this is just fantastic, you're very talented!

Why havent i seen this before? hmmmmmmm?

  • how could they not have hired you! you are clearly a genious

  • i love these animated videos! Keep working!

  • it definitely has been fun watching! thanx :D

  • frikin hillarious

  • he sounds like kermit the frog

  • More like Tom Green. It's a Canadian accent.

  • Apologies to the guy whose comment I accidentally deleted while trying to reply. He pointed out that my use of the word "university" (rather than "college") identified me as Canadian. In a similar vein, I was down in Texas recently and a waitress pegged me as a foreigner when I asked for directions to the "washroom".

  • Thanks to you dude.

  • Superb! I love your work dude. Excellent.

  • Tou rock, Mike!

  • god dam it , ive been wasting time going to job network agents when all i need to do is apply on youtube !

  • Maybe a random comment, but that sure as hell dosent sound like the voice of a trucker.

  • Great Job!!!!!

  • This made me laugh. Thanks.:)

  • Grabbin my shoe mouth, grabbin my grabbin my grabbin my shoe mouth

  • lol pretty good. I liked the cross word one a little better.

  • 306 number, your from saskatchewan? COOL

  • Loved it! I think we are soul mates.

  • Fine work!

  • That was much better than the crossword inker. Still waiting for those boobs an explosions.

  • Oh my god!! This is my life! hahahahahah

    So funny, I'm crying.

  • maybe they saw the begining where you said you had no experience... and then turned it off without watching the rest...

    cause that was pretty sweet.

  • Thank you. I think they were looking for an "arts guy" - someone who studied Fine Arts, knows the lingo, is plugged into the community, etcetera. Meanwhile, I set foot inside a gallery perhaps once a year. So I don't blame them.

  • Meh, it happens. A lot of the time I find that things pass you by cause there is something better on the way :)

  • True, perhaps. But meanwhile there's something to be said for unemployment. Gives you plenty of freedom to churn out silly internet cartoons.

  • Hehe... well the internet doesnt mind :p

  • You are too good for them! This video is a thing of beauty. Rock on!

  • I can't believe they didn't even call you back, this is awesome!

  • i'd hire you 50 times
