  • These doctors need to youtube TEDxIowaCity - Dr. Terry Wahls - Minding Your Mitochondria

Wahls is an medical dr now doing research on intensive nutrition. She was in a wheelchair for 4 years with MS. Nine months after taking a paleo diet approach she road in an 18 mile bicycle rally. google the Wahls Foundation for more info and videos

  • well, you heard it on fox news the modern american diet is poison, i just hope these retards dont switch to the paleo diet, i will have to fight them to get to the non poison food. you can really hear how retarded they sound. he may as well as said hey, look at me, im a big fat dumb ass nutritionist, so eat like me.

  • Eat a balanced diet in moderation and exercise... it's pretty simple

  • those doctors are fat and i wonder how happy most of them really are

  • Yeah like anybody's gonna take diet advice from a guy that is obese, looks like he never exercises and said humans ran from dinosaurs

  • the real question is: Is watching fox news safe?

  • Can somebody identify the lardo "expert" that seems to think this is a joke and that ancient humans stayed in shape by running from dinosaurs. I know first graders that understand the fact that dinosaurs went extinct MILLIONS of years before the first modern human walked the face of the earth...

  • @dlo3384 His name is Manny Alvarez. His speciality is obstetrics and gynecology (nothing to do with nutrition, dinosaurs or ancient man).

You are right, dinosaurs have been extinct since about 65 million years before paleolithic huans appeared

  • This absolutely disgusts me. The fact that some overweight nutrition "expert" is telling people that eating foods our bodies were never evolved to eat is ridiculous. And to think people will look at this interview and laugh along at us "stupid caveman wannabes" while they sit on their couch gorging themselves on twinkies and cheetohs.

  • Not to mention that berries and nuts werent always readily available. If you did find them, you either ate the whole lot or you'd remember the spot where you found them to keep coming back for more until they ran out. And that could take maybe a couple of days since fruit is only available in certain seasons. The key is they were always moving and eating whenever they found food, IF they found food at all that day. Keep that in mind when you are eating your 3-5 paleo (or modern) meals a day :)

  • basicly the message here is dont take nutritional advice from two fat men......

  • I just don't see the point of having a segment about something like this if you aren't going to bring informed people on to legitimately discuss it. I know Fox News is the biggest joke for informed "news", but this isn't even attempted news. Why skew it like this?

  • PAY-LEE-OH. Not PAH-LEE-OH, or the best one PUH-LEE-OH.

  • @RawAthlete Yeah they can correct each other on the pronunciation but it's a shame that they don't know anything about the subject

  • Tell me that was not two pringles cans on the table...

  • (continued from previous post) These hunter gathers don't suffer from diabetes, cancer, or heart disease, and unlike the obese doctor on this panel who is denigrating the Paleo diet, they are not obese. And while it is true that our meat is not of the same quality as that found grazing in the wild in the Paleolithic era, you can get grass fed and range free sources of beef, chicken and pork, and eating meat, even conventionally produced meat, is a healthier option instead of carbs.

  • @alphacause you are correct. i eat skinless boneless chicken and drink skim milk. I'm muscular and more fit than all my neighbors who eat whatever they want.

  • (continued from previous post) But one doesn't even have to wade through the literature pertaining to the anthropology or chemical analysis of Paleolithic man to understand that their diet was mostly based on animal protein/fat. There are many contemporary accounts of hunter gatherer populations from the late 19th to mid 20th century, where most of their diet comes from animal protein, and guess what? They suffer virtually none of the degenerative diseases of the west (continued)

  • (continued from previous post) Secondly, our chemical analysis of human fossil remains from the Paleolithic era, which includes human bones, remains of food, and yes, fossilized feces, reveals conclusively that their diet was primarily based on animal protein and fat, and nuts/berries/seeds/and other plants were added to supplement the diet. Just read the work of Dr. Loren Cordain, Dr. Boyd Eaton, and many others for proof (continued).

  • Fox News, living true to their reputation, gets either the biggest imbeciles or puppets for corporations to be their so called "experts". These doctors know nothing about anthropology and even less about evolution. First, man did not live concurrently with dinosaurs. Secondly, if prehistoric man just lived mostly on nuts, berries, and other plants, we gathered, our species couldn't have survived, due to lack of essential fats, proteins and nutrients (continued).

  • What?!?! DINOSAURS?!?! These doctors are a joke, they don't even know that dinosaurs died out millions of years before monkeys even evolved, let along our hunter gatherer ancestors! Paleolithic man's diet was certainly NOT based on nuts and berries either. We have direct copralite and tooth carbon dating evidence that shows that our ancestors ate a high meat diet, regularly.
