I think the simple badge name (Basic) links with the simplicity of Normal type pokemon. Normal = Basic (Even though they're not really basic, given they learn a multitude of elemental attacks and quite often can defend, attack or even both :P). But again another infuriating tactic used but a very handy one :D Well played. Dont you just love the music switch when the Pokemon leader is down to their last Pokemon :P .
Yeah, you can see that I'm a huge fan of those super annoying strategies. But it's just karma that I'm probably going to end up on the receiving end of the same tactics one of these days.
