firstly, I'm not in a band; that was a cover I did with a friend a while back. These are tenor drums. I march, tune, and play them for my school. I know what the fuck I'm talking about. They aren't definite pitched instruments; they're designed to be tuned to the specific Ensemble's liking, and for BD, it's obviously high. There are some similarities when playing the instrument for instance, playing rim shots gives off a timbale kind of sound, but seriously? bongos? You're retarted.

i personally like the way phantom tunes their tenors (low) the best. the have the best sound quality, the only problem is they dont cut across the field as well... but then again a lawnmower would be easily heard too but that doesnt mean you should march with one of those.
