yes, the h1s have the same conversion. 6.6 duramax with the allison 1000 trany. my h2 puts out about 550 hp and 1000 fpt. it's pretty funny, I can beat most cars 0-60.

they are full time 4wd from factory. i've driven an h2 and owned an h3, both were that way. No 2wd option, but not awd either because they still have a low range. Transfer case is 4-Hi, 4-Hi locked, 4-Lo. Exception is the new (2008) H2s i believe are no longer full time 4x4 due to the new motor and 6 speed tranny.

i did not know that about the h2 well thats no fun lol if i was to get one i guess i'll have to get a new one lol but what about the 6.2L engine have you heard any thing about them? i want to buy one for a 05 chevy Z71 but i want to know if they are strong and that new transmission i heard its not really a heavy duty transmission the 6L90E and i found the engine new at jegs but i'm waiting till i find something out about the 6 speed transmission and thanks for the info

hmmm...idk about the tranny. engine has some power from what i've heard. aren't they all aluminum? maybe you should look into a sierra denali. they come with the 6.2L i believe.

yeah they do but they come in AWD or 2WD i dont like the AWD cuz i want to have it to where you can pick 2ED or 4WD so i am just going to buy the engine and find a custom 6 speed auto tranny ( or a 4 if i have to ) that can hold alot more then 403 HP i think all vortec engines are aluminum i have seen a video on here that has a denali its pretty fast and i would a 6.2L fit in a 05 chevy crew cab? with space for a turbo maybe two and a intercooler maybe i'll just go with the 6.0L

i would bet money the 6.2 would fit in that truck. but you probably have to do alot more fabbing in order to mount it ect, since the body style is different since they started producing that motor. the 6.0 could be hopped up decent i would imagine. whats in it now, a vortec 5300?

well, it's really up to you. the 6.0 is probably gonna have the easy factor, the 6.2 is gonna have the power factor. (or so i would think) One option you may have not considered is a motor from a trailblazer SS. i think they are 6.0 and put out around 390 hp. plus if you could find a rolled one or something you may get the motor and tranny cheap. just some food for thought.

i did consider it but down here there is not alot of people who buy super sport trailblazers and if they do i have not yet found one that is wrecked most trucks and cars here are from Mexicans and they dont have SS trucks or cars just small or very old cars and trucks lol the nice trucks are taken care of lol i might also look into a LS7 they have power stock its 427ci so i think i'll need to mod my truck but i am pretty sure some rich kids have fliped a corvette with one in them lol
