Yo, Bro, you are on the right track. Follow your own instincts. Every song is not a long tone song. Anything dealing with hip hop is about rhythm and articulation. If you think of your horn as a rapper "spitt-in" his rhyme you don't find any long tones. (smile)

There's a reason he's keeping his fingers out of view for most of the video. And even when his fingers ARE in position, they're with really bad position that hopefully any good trumpet player wouldn't use, AND they don't match the pitch that's being played.

The guy has a cd out. Look at some of his other videos. The video doesn't come in time with the playing because it has been cut and his position isn't bad. I've seen worse from very good trumpet players. Argue as much as you want. Jealousy gets you no where. Practice does.

You can't do ZERO pressure but you can reduce it to "No extra" pressure by curling your lips in very slightly. I think of it as making a "mmmm" shape (Like mmm tasty) instead of M like saying the letter...
