Yes, I agree it's Dylanesque, and frankly one of the best written songs ever written. I love how he says the piano sounds like a carnival, and sure enough, it's in 12/8 waltz timing. It has that merry go round feel. And the lyrics are perfection! People in a bar talking about failed dreams and drowning their sorrows. You can get so inside of it. Everybody knows someone from this song. Genius!
