Technically, Larson didn't do anything wrong, he just knew how to play the game extremely well, like card counting in black jack, it's not technically cheating, just knowing the game well.
I remember a silly old woman wanting to press her luck when she had three whammies in the first round. The host had to explain the whole concept of the game to her and pleaded with her to pass her spins. haha. would be so funny to see only two players for the second half of the game.
Great video! It goes to show you... follow your intuition if someone seems "creepy" or you sense "something is not right" about a person.
P.S. IT WAS NOT A SCANDAL! He did not cheat. There's nothing against the rules about memorizing a pattern.

Remember people, this is before re-winding live television. So this took a LOOOOONG time to do.

"A date that will live in game-show infamy."
Possibly makes the *21* scandal from a quarter century or so beforehand look like a Sunday School picnic.

"Hi, I'm Peter Tomarken... and he's Peter Tomarken too!"

@ngarcia103 The *newer* Peter Tomarken looked like he just came in from a round of private-eyeing.
Put a fedora on him; he'd almost look like he was advertising traveler's checks.
