If you're talking about land (not country, mind the difference!) that was supposed to go to Arabs by UN partition plan, that land is lost. Forget about it. When Palestinians attacked with their allies they've gambled and lost. It's Israel's free will to give the land to Palestinians as a present for peace.

The original partition plan split Palestine in half but that was not what the final partition plan called for is it? If Israel had complied with 242 then maybe they could bitch about the arab countries not stopping their belligerent tone although most did. Gaza offered peace with Israel in August of 2006 but Israel wants land and not peace.

242 came about 20 years after the original partition plan that went out of the window when Arab armies crossed into sovereign state of Israel. Arabs gambled and lost. Besides, Egypt got back Sinai for peace, Jordan signed peace treaty with Israel and Syria is just about to get Golan Heights back for peace. Will the Palestinians give back West coast to Jordan and Gaza strip to Egypt?
