  • Thank You for helping!I know a number of lic. rehabbers in MI+like me theyre often swamped+just cant help.Antibiotics,esp. if a cat/dog bite might have helped.Vets, wildlife preserves, nature centers, online groups could have helped w/advise.Young Robins often eat 2 much!U judge by the crop.Robins are the ONLY US land bird that can eat earthworms. They carry parasites called GapeWorm that cause birds 2 suffocate!Yes,it IS illegal to KEEP native birds but you did not keep him you SAVED him!

    Namaste

  • Dont listen to stupid overconcerned people blabbering that your doing him harm. I had a similar case with a fledgling chipping sparrow. She had a punctured left air sack from my cat that got ahold of her. I never used peroxide but my family happens to be close friends with another family that owns an animal hospital and they hooked me up with a kind of antiseptic and i gave her small recomended cc doses. 1 week later she was back in the wild and the parents continued raising her!

  • One day at my Grandparents house we had found a baby bird that fell out of its nest. It was injured so we took it in and tried to care for it. About a week later it started to get better but then the nextcouple days turned for the worst. He didnt drink that water we got him or eat the worms we got at the store. Then one day he passed away. We buried him behind the house right beside the bird feeder. RIP

  • me to found him or her on the ground

  • i fond my dog playing with bird but the bird wing and leg is broken i brought it in my house he like to eat waterlimen but i dont kno what to do please help me

  • @Jojo340906 bring him to a vet or an animal rescue center

  • I saved a little brown wren from my cats' cage outside. He didnt try to fly away. I brought him into our house to show everybody and i let him go outide.

  • Thank you so much for trying to help this robin, i love robins so much and in case you ever find another injured bird.......feed them every hour and when you feed them make a special sound like a whistle so they know that a whistle means food!!

  • Great job! try to save an injured bird is very sadisfactory. only one thing if you have to treat other birds betadine or iodine is better then peroxide as peroxide can cause further damage but still great work. =)

  • @cini007 isemew x ingliz hu il peroxide bleach

  • hey barb, so what happened to the little guy?

  • @gummi67

    I set him free.

  • Also you can call howell nature center! They are verrry good with injured birds

  • My next-door neighbor's kids found an injured house sparrow. I'm planning on taking it to a wildlife rehabilitation place tomorrow. I hope that they'll take it because I haven't had much luck taking care of sick/injured birds.

  • The robin should be put outside in a cage or attended by someone for at least 23 min.

Feed it worms or bird seed.

  • Don't whistle, just let it be.

  • phone the R.S.P.C.A????

  • It looks like he was bleeding in his mouth he should have been taken to a wildlife center or something

  • any animal shelters or out door societies will take him. you are doing a fine job at rehibilitation but sadly after this he wont be able to fend for himself. ps clean his beak.

  • i found a ren and its wing was almost cut off it died the morning after i found it

  • i always thought robins were red

  • He has a broken arm get him to a shelter or rescue place right awa in your area

  • yeah i have a wild bird im taking care of but his wing is injured badly he is sleeping awww he is so cute too

  • I have four baby robins under my deck full feathered. 10 ago i notce one of the robin was on the floor had fell off or pushed by his brothers or sisters. i had to get rubber gloves and a latter and place him back in the nest. by the way they say that robins population has grown like crazy.

  • do you know what the proplem is?

  • Looks like he was escaping something like a fox and it had it's jaw on the wing, trying to pull it off to disable the bird, and as the bird pulled away it scraped along the side. It doesn't look like it will heal and Robins live an average of 2 years but if he's comfortable around you, you can either put him back outside or take him to an animal rescue center. If you don't live near one get it to a Vet. What did you name him? Hope this helped! ☼ ✌☼ ☺ ♡

  • I just found one today. The 5th time I' ve found a injured bird. I finally realized that it's a baby robin, he's very sweet. The problems with it though is that it's beak is half off and red because of the blood. Same with the wings, but he is perfectly fine, he can move alot haha alot. I'm trying to get him to eat. Haha he's cute, I'm only 12, but I love and care for living creatures

  • feed him or her 2-4 small balls of whit bread sofed with milk i have 3 pet robins 2 my naber shot with his blow gun i nursed them back to helth and they are doing good and the other i trapped if you keep him or her feed it bird seed from the store and some balls of bread and the acashanall worm

  • dont give him raw oatmeal flakes thats for sure. if its the only thing they eat they could get constipation cuz its rich in fiber and nothing else...

  • hes so beautiful!

  • Take care of nature & nature will take care of you. He is beautiful. Thanx

  • Look at the birdie

  • DUDE! why are you like that? its nature they need to make their noises, warning cries. Don't be so shelfish. How would you like it if birds were the main race?

"That stupid kdmalan is ranting about us! lets peck him to death!" How would you like that? stupid wildlife H8ER!!! if you ok shoot all birds in the world. Then we wont have birds to eat the bugs killing our crops. Once again don't be so shelfish

  • Any update on what happened to the Robin ???. I hope you didn't release it if it wasn't 100%, because Robins are very territorial, and another male would have torn it to shreds during mating season.

  • first of all its wing is messed up and dont know what desises it carries i own 17 injured birds go see a vet

  • im taking care of 2 birds already

    they eat like pigs

    im willing to take him

    if its ok

or if he/she is better keep him/her

  • Is it better now?

  • Comment removed

  • Chose?!?!?!?

Maybe you are rich enough to afford gold plated duck-chops at your market but the Robin was all I could afford.

They were on special for $0.99/lb.

should I have eaten cake instead Marie?

If you haven't been starving you would never understand.

  • First, I never said I was rich, you don't know me. =P Second, how are you even here on the internet? From what I know, you have to pay for the service. Instead of wating electricity, use that money to get a decent food. Better yet...get off the computer to work, go to school, ANYTHING. Also, do not ask for pity, regardless social status.

  • Bwa ha haa! juanthestabber was JUST OWNED!!!

  • Geez u stupid dick. Why don't u go just fry ur dick up and cook it instead ya little jerk

  • my god

    thats mean

    but yet funny

  • when i found a injured bid i bought this wrap and gental put it over his wing it died though :*(

  • plus i dont think its full grwo nit doesnt have the same coloring as this robin it was black dots all over the orange on its stomache, and it has white on it near the lower part of the stomache,it tweets alot but u know when birds are hungry they open their mouths this one doesnt do that, i dont want it to die, but theres no way of getting it to a wildlife rehabilitator person

  • hi, im caring for a robin with a broken wing to... a dog attacked it, i have it in my old birds cage, its not flipping out or anything but it wont eat, ad i know its illegal but i know for a fact my parents wont let me take it to a wildlife rebilitation place, they dont have time, so i dont wanna let it go, and be out in the wild to die, what should i do

IT WONT EAT UNDER ITS STRESS

  • the best thing to do is make sure it eats and talk to it to keep it happy.

make sure that it drinks plenty of water and get it some calcium to help it heal sooner.

  • plz plz plz i need help with my robin today hes had probably 2 meals from his motheer but then it fell out of its nest and was knocking on heavens door me and my brother and sister and mom cared for it and now its sleeping in a box with tissues any advice would be good and we'll try feeding(people not its mother)tommorrow advice is well apreciated thanks and plz comment back!

  • What a great little video, he looks healthy enough, keep us updated on his progress please..

  • Hi, please update on him, we'd really like to know how he's doing!

  • How is the robin doing?

  • If its eating well, that's the first good sign. Birds are highly sensitive animals, they don't generally eat under stress.

Judging from that wing though I'd say he's in a pretty risky position.... it looks broken or dislocated.

My advice, an unconventional position: If its wing doesn't heal properly, it'll never fly, and if it's not illegal, I think it's life would be better spent as a loved pet than an easy prey item.

  • Does he... peck you? If he does, *shrugs* well, that's the way it goes. It's a wild bird. I'd peck you too. A big pink think holding me... eeh! Scary! Not saying people are scary.

  • Although its very kind of you to help most people are right. It needs to go to some type of wildlife place. You can only do so much to help and some wild animals wont be acceped back into the wild after human contact. So your really helping him more if you find a place to take him that deals with wild animals.

  • i rescued a robin when I was a kid-raised it from a baby to adult. Sounds cute but not really. Trouble was it knew no fear-would land on my dog's back etc. Take it to wildlife rescue.

  • I've rescued many birds and please listen to this!

The longer you keep this injured robin the better chance it will have of not recovering, if you don't know what to do PLEASE don't keep this bird.. I know it looks so adorable but robins are meant to be in the wild, TAKE this robin to a wild life center as soon as possible. Thanks for helping it!

  • he is right. it a wild bird. you should not try to help it, if you don't know how to. there are risk having a wild bird in your home. you can get sick from a wild bird. call the wild life center asap.

  • I think you should paint the dark parts blue and make it into Spider-Bird!!!

  • I saw one of your tags was Michigan; if you live near Lansing, perhaps the folks at Fenner could help your Robin out

  • Thanks, this is the kind of feedback I'm looking for. I live 60 miles from Lansing, but I will call them. Thanks again

  • Your intentions are good but you are doing this bird more harm than anything by not taking him to a local wildlife rescue. Unless you're a vet, you can't tell what is going on inside him or if the wound is infected, not to mention the wing. GET HIM TO A RESCUE CENTER IMMEDIATELY IF YOU WANT TO HELP HIM.

  • I have been trying rescue centers all week, either they are too far away or they don't want him.

  • @mlw0603 ok but who else is going to take care of him, if you were hurt you would at least want someone to try saving you rather than leaving you.... prick

  • i think the little bird needs a good bath - don't you?

  • We used to have an injured Blue Jay, we fed it cat food and sunflower seeds. Depending on how old the bird is, you might have to wet the cat food. I don't know if that helps you or not. But you should probably take it to a wildlife center where it has a better chance of surviving.

  • your a good guy! and lets hope the little guy gets better!

  • My uncle is a bird. We call him falcon man.

  • aw

    robins are cute =O!

  • aww too cute give lots tlc

  • Hey you are the retard! it wasnt't the robin whistling..... it was the person talking in the video whisling ..... DUH! LMAO

  • I agree with Pea290, you should take him to a local exotic vet or a wildlife rehabilitation center in your area. They will better understand the care he needs.

  • When I was a kid, I tried to take care of a wounded bird, but I had the large box I kept him in outside... well after just one night, another animal (probably a cat) got into the box and ate him.

Anyway, maybe this information will help you:

    nycwildlife. org/care.html

  • Keep up the good work...!

  • You are awesome to do that. Can he fly? i had to look after an owl as it fell into the pool. The same thing happened when I was on holidays. I found a kookaburra in the pool. Are you keeping him warm? I think you should see an exotic vet who knows something about robins. I don't think it is broken but it could be. He is cute as!
