The bird trap with the string sounds interesting. I get the concept, but I didn't conceive that a bird would swallow string... even if it was connected to a berry. Wouldn't they just tug it off the string?

@JayDeLart no they cant because its a tangled ball in its stomach and wont bring it up. And especially with pheasant , this works because they are quite greedy , it works better if theres more berries or sweet corn on the end furthest away from the tree or stake :)

With such a tiny animal it can be better to put it directly into the fire for a short time to burn down the fur and kill possible parasites and bacteria, then cut it open remove the organs (if u wish also the skin) and put it then back on the fire until the meat is ready to eat. Thats how its done around the world für thousands of years.

i've found a little trick to constructing a frame shelters, get some flexable green wood then bend it in the center under half it snaps, you can then use that break to put the main beem on with no need for cord or roots

squirrel like rabbit at first, yes is good eating and will give you energy. but in the long run. since they are very lean, they give no fat to your body. natureal fat is what gives you massive amounts of energy and can be stored for later use. people have known to die from just eating nothing but lean meat from small game.
