Great tenor: Joseph Schmidt - Ein Lied geht um die Welt, 1933

In the Nazi propaganda film "Hans Westmar" (really Horst Wessel), which details the "martyrdom" of the Nazi brownshirt SA saint (and was released in 1933, the very year of the film "Ein Lied geht um die Welt"), there is a scene in a Berlin nightclub that was depicted as "international", i.e. communist and anti-German. In the club we can see a poster on the wall for a film: "Ein JUD geht um die Welt"! This is how the great Joseph Schmidt was destroyed.

The great soundtrack zither playing of The Harry Lime theme was by Anton Karas and was a big record hit in the UK. It's on YT posted by 78man in 2006. Enjoy!

Yes G; 'The Third Man' is a must-see film with great performances from Orson Welles and Joseph Cotton and the wonderful zither playing of 'The Harry Lime Theme' which adds so much to the moody tense atmosphere.

Of course I can't compare with the original dynamics. Without reference to the original, the frequency range seemed more than ok. However, personally I'd never have added artificial reverb, which is just there or not depending on the location.
