Just watching Ginger on screen was enough. She was beautiful, funny and totally believable especially when she was with Fred.I must have watched this particular movie at least a 100 times and I never get tired of it.
She was a great actress, and Holywood recognized it. After she and Fred split up she won an Oscar for Kitty Foyle. I also recommend Stage Door. Both are dramas, although there is a little bit of dance in stage door.
Don't you just luv the look on gingers face when she's trying to work up the courage to tell tony she loves him??!!! Awe, she had the sweetest expressions and ways......and fred!!! Fred was just adorable in his charm and........unique character.......I'm at a loss of words!!! Both of 'em! Brilliant! Thnxs for posting!
I enjoy you in the group. Your clips are nice. I just adore FA and Ginger. I watch a movie or two every day. I love the group because everyone knows so much about the business. Thank-you for shareing
I think you're right when it comes to their 1930s films. They do say it to each other a couple of times in The Barkleys of Broadway (1949), in which they play a long-married couple. :)
Oh man, when he says, "All right," and holds her closer, I rather wish it was me.

Fred looks like he can't resist kissing Ginger when she tells him to smile. This is the original definition of onscreen chemistry.

"Smile, there's Steve."
LOL :D
I agree, they're both excellent actors.

I think they were both very underated as actors, particularly Ginger. The dancing tended to put anything else in the shade.

Right, underated actors in the shade ... But, Ginger was so totally gorgeous, if she did have faults, who cared?

Cool clip! Ha ha, great facial expressions. Fred's acting skills were underrated because his dancing was so fantastic.

This is a really cute scene. I think its one of the only times that one of them says they love the other to their face.
