These giant black and white fish are very good to eat. I live right across from the beach north of seattle, and these huge fuckers actually will ride the waves up onto the shore of the beach and eat seals....ON LAND! I know it sounds like a "fish story", but i shit you not, it's true. Well, when they come to on land to eat the seals, they're easy pickens, and you can easily shoot them. You want to use a large caliber. I use a 30/06 and have had good results.

Guess what they found? High levels of mercury. You also probably think the oceans are pristine and not full of trash too right?
@Maishley Oceans ARE full of pollution. So's the air, the soil, and the whole environment, unfortunately. Fish, fowl, hell, even vegetables, it's all contaminated with something. Mercury, PCB's, insecticides, herbicides. What they consider high levels of mercury in that guy is probably really nothing too harmful. Lower levels than the "mad hatters" of England. Once you start laughing uncontrollably like a crazy mad hyena then you know-too much mercury. And hell, that kinda sounds like fun.

Unfortunately human kind is destroying earth, and some animals you can only find in captivity. We need to stop thinking about ourselves and start thinking about the greater good. Alas, I can't do anything but watch as the earth goes down the drain. One can only hope that mankind open their eyes and start caring.
@Drummeh SOme animals are held in captivity for a reason. If they are being overhunted by another species, they are held in their cages in zoos to repopulate them, which would be otherwise impossible in the wild. Thus, saving one more species. I agree though, we are destroying earth, but until you rally up the rest of the planet, were stuck
@colev8 Sadly the only species that are over-hunting are humans. Therefore it is good that there are decent people who care about animals who can take them in and try to repopulate the species. I wish I could rally up the rest of the planet, I wish I could change the world. I'm afraid I don't have the money or resources to do so, but I will surely do whatever I can to help make earth a better place.

Secondly I went whale watching and a Whale ( southern right ) Stuck its head out the water and looked the people on the boat in the eye just out of curiosity. You'll also find some other cases of curiosity in other intelligent mammals such as dogs .
I dont mean to be over expressive with this comment but one thing that ive noticed with the more intelligent of the mammals is that you'll find that all mammals are curious. One year back i went to south Africa one of the seal islands and the most exciting part of it was the dolphins chasing the boat out. whether they were doing it for fun or they wanted to know what we were up to i dont know .

This is not "Just another orca movie"! It's a picture slideshow, not a movie. I wish people would just put pictures on picasa and stop littering youtube with it.
It's called survival of the fittest. The other whales knew that the baby was going to die, so they killed it so that it's mother wouldn't die along with it. Disney has personified animals too much. They did what they did for the benefit of the entire group, not for sport.
I used to like orcas until I saw an episode on Discovery Channel. There was a mama whale who stayed behind the rest of the group with her baby. Well, two orcas followed them for 6 hours until the baby was too tired to go any farther. Then they wedged between mother and baby. After they were separated, they jumped on the baby whale and drowned it. The worst part was that the orcas didn't even eat it... they ate the tongue and lower jaw of the baby whale and then left. Orcas kill for fun. :(
Now this is where they belong. This is the true orca. Not doing those stupid tricks at SeaWorld or wherever. This shows you really love the animals because you respect them in their natural environment.
i loooooooooove orcas. I study them, i have for 5 years, and my mom and my sister are trainers at seaworld, and I get to play with the orcas, i even have one that i can swim with, but since im little, my mom has to be there, or my sister. His name is Lenny, I even got to name him!! He is me and my sisters orca, well we don't own him, but my sister is his trainer... and he loves me!

i did not read it my dear i saw video footage of a pod of orcas attacking a whale and her baby do your home work there is alot of video of what killer whales do and it is not pretty life is a circle and they are part of it they are predators very beautiful predators at that.

After they were separated, they jumped on the baby whale and drowned it. The worst part was that the orcas didn't even eat it... they ate the tongue and lower jaw of the baby whale and then left. Orcas kill for fun. :(

Actually believe it or not Orca's are actually Dolphins not whales. They even look like dolphins and nothing like real whales.

i loooooooooove orcas. I study them, i have for 5 years, and my mom and my sister are trainers at seaworld, and I get to play with the orcas, i even have one that i can swim with, but since im little, my mom has to be there, or my sister. His name is Lenny, I even got to name him!! He is me and my sisters orca, well we don't own him, but my sister is his trainer... and he loves me!
