What I love about the Summilux is the bokey, it's much nicer than the OLYMPUS ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 50mm F2.0 Macro, But the summilux is expensive...

I already have have a 35 mm summicron for my GH1, but the 2.0 cropfactor makes it weird to use.

I am thinking to get a summilux OR the Panasonic 20 mm pancake (half the price, but it's 1.7, not 1.4 like the summilux). And they are both Leica's in the end. I want to use them for filming, what do you think?

I just bought a GH1 myself and want to expand my lens collection for it. are these lens your talking about, micro 4/3 or do you use an adaptor?

@rol36915 the 25/1.4 is regular 4/3 while the 20/1.7 is Micro 4/3 so you'd need an adapter with the 25/1.4.

@rudyvanos I also plan on getting the GH1 for use with my Leica M and Zeiss/Contax glass. I don't mind the 2x conversion factor. The kit lens (14-140) will suffice for the wide end. The 25/1.4 sounds enticing but I'm not sure about investing so much into a lens that can only be used with one camera.

I think the d90 is around $1000 and gh1 is $1500, so I guess if you want more features go with GH1 (it has stereo sound, better AF, better fps). D90 is if you want more of the photo stuff (higher resolution and other things *)

* i don't know too much about d90 but I do know it has a jelly effect when shooting fast objects in vid mode

its not a lens adapter, its Panasonic's new DSLR

Obviously he IS using a lens adaptor since none of the lenses he used fits the camera because they are 4/3 lenses. You'll need a 4/3 to micro 4/3 adapter, which is sold by panasonic.

The problem is that the body does not have image stabilzation mechanism for pana. I think it is better to wait for Olympus.
