  • I have like a little pass 9'' of hair when picked out etc, how should I start mine off? Currently, I'm just wearing braids, should I like use the freeform method or get them twisted? I was thinking of using the freeform but I didn't know if I could do it or not with this length. Help please? Btw, subscribing your videos are so inspiring ;3

  • you'll never get a job like that. a good paying job..

  • damn man where you live at? land everywhere

  • i try to speak about stuff like this .. but its like no one understands .. i'm glad to see that there are people out there that do understand our way of life ..

  • Alright, so what do you do as far as bathing/showering? Just the black soap? No soap? I mean what's the deal?

  • What is the name of the music (or artist) at the beginning of this video? I love it! :-)

  • @ymeeks76 It sounds like FlyingLotus or Teebs. You should DEFINITELY check out those 2 artists.

  • WHATUP BWOI

  • @cupidvalentino1 ... ur stupid if u think its even one human on this earth that has horse hair.

  • did u know......christianity wize, 7 is the number of completion...u know 7 days

  • a dog called a puli and a komador...hook dem up

  • I LOVE UR VIDEO'S!!!!

  • one would have to totally ignore or be ignorant to the negative social implication of having unkept and or ungroomed/cultivated hair. sound judgement while being cognisant of societal norms. im intested in knowing what your business/professional career is; it would give insight to your fringe positioning. and your thinking isnt necessarily a bad thing. your acurate but maybe not so much realistic(when applied) with some of your claims. hit me, let folks know

  • ANDRE 3 STACKS!!!

  • man this video is mad insirational. respecttttt to you the crown and all theways of my true melinated being in knowledge and truthhh. respectttt shalom

  • wat do you consider ur hair texture good hair?

  • How do you feel about loose haired naturals?

  • I love when you said "celebrate the difference" ***high five***

  • Komondor is a breed of the SPECIES DOG. Notice the resemblance. The hair is like ours. You think it is one of the melanated crowd. (I don't think I spelled melanated correctly. Listen, you are beautiful. You are intelligent. My old ass was thinking, "Boy, if I was younger". You would not go for me because I don't believe in segregation. I believe in love. <3 PEACE

  • @reggandjeff <<<<<<<< wtf is this guy talking about

  • @melan9sighn Hell if I know.

  • cHeMiCaL WARFARE TO BLEACH OUT YOUR BLACKNESS KABOOM, MIND CONTROL.

  • Peace Love Dope

  • @3m0k1d4evr rite back atcha !!!

  • I LOVE your hair, and I understood your point. "chemical warfare" lol but it's so true!

  • just one question: why don't you refer to yourself as an african? correct me if i'm wrong, but if you refer to others as europeans, asians and so on, wouldn't it be more correct to say you're an African? melinated people come from africa, right?

not trying to do anything else but ask a question out of curiosity

  • Just recently stumbled upon your videos, quite interesting. But why put up the fuss with just hair? Let's not use toothpaste, bottled water, clothing, furniture, etc. Why don't we melanated beings as you say, just go all the way back to our roots. You should wear a leaf over your johnson and get rid of the technology. Really, do you need it? I'm just saying. Love unprocessed hair... No way in hell I could go to work everyday with my locs looking dreadfully matted to my head! I need my check!

  • @mzlaqt well your hair is important, look you just admitted that you can't just be yourself and work on the plantation. You don't have to wear your hair natural , but for those that are sick of manipulating the crown, I make these videos. I don't assume everyone will love my opinion. I don't know who johnson is, sounds like another european name, but if you asking me do i spend my days with no clothes on then you are correct. I even do some of my videos in the nude. LOOK AROUND. peace queen

  • @cupidvalentino1 Umm, no I can't wear free form locs to work, wouldn't want to. I choose to wear my hair in its natural state because perms hurt and dealing with my hair like this is less expensive. Thanks for replying back so fast. Really didnt expect that. What do you do for a living?

  • I've been watching your videos for a little bit now and I am really gaining a lot of respect for you and your mind. I fully respect living your best/healthiest life and knowing who you are, but, when I look at my freshly twisted red dyed locs, I don't think I'm selling out...I'm changing and evolving. We'll all die someday; if it's not french fries or shampoo; it'll be a freak accident or a peaceful sleep.

Just my thoughts...Enjoying the freedom shared through your vids.

  • @OlyCaz well fam thanks for watching, i don't believe in death so u get no argument here, if it feels right to you , make it happen. No judgements for those who have made their minds up , my videos are geared to a certain type of person. Im sure those red locks are nice to u and that's all that matters . the people i really address don't see dreads as a hairstyle, kind of just the natural state of things. I can only assume this is your first set if you colored them with dye.

  • @cupidvalentino1: Not a bad assumption. Yes it is my first set it's also the first time I've ever colored my hair (trying something different). You may not know it...but your videos are geared for my type too ;-). I don't believe in death in the spiritual sense but, I do in the physical sense. I'm going to assume that the physical and spiritual are fully connected for you (in a way that they're not for me and maybe that's where I will learn through watching your vids).

  • as you talked about the #9 and it being the number for completion I noticed that I was the 999 viewer of this video... just a random thought

  • @tootietv synchronicity is a beautiful "thang"

  • @cupidvalentino1 truth

  • @PinkyLeeTV jajajajajajaj i know that's right.. im loving that .. good one.....

  • combs have always existed brotha but used for locs never. braids and all style that we had in our homeland.

  • @PeaceAndJustice357 huh ! combs always existed... lol u having a good time debating with me today, but this one i don't get... how do your figure combs always existed....

  • you look like jimi hendrix.

  • What is Fruitatarian? :')

  • Hi Princess!!!! Hi Paradise!!!! You are so right about that horse hair too....while it's beautiful then, it's not for us lol.

  • haha i got an english bull dog named prince

  • @hatsdontfit yeah i saw a glimpse i think in the last video u did, i was wondering if they were yours.

  • @hatsdontfit yeah a pit bull and an english bulldog

  • "I ain't selling anything, I'm just trying to give you your mind back".

  • Brah! I started watching the Sequel you made and stopped half way through because I hadn't seen this vid. Good point my man! Good F'in point. Folks you can not dispute fact. IT IS WHAT IT IS! INSHALLAH you all will one day overstand.

  • @Mentalwarfare78 It is what it is, and the truth needs no apology. Peace fam I appreciate the view. At first I believed no one cared about this issue, but after hearing yours and others comments, I can rest assure that me and my people are definitely starting to wake up.

  • @cupidvalentino1 where do u live? is that a ranch?

  • @ethiochamp dirty south , and yeah that's my ranch/back yard

  • good video.

  • I LOVE YOU CUPID! LOL, This is a great vid, soo proud to let my hair do what it do n it is pure beauty..Loving u're energy n hair is sooo beautiful, BTY thanx 4 the recipes, they worked out, I'll inbox u thou, fellow melanited being!! :)

  • wow! i hope you make more videos outside...

  • i just wanted to know wht the word ment? i didnt know! sorry!

  • @spitefire1012 your question was honest, i understood what you were saying, if i commented with malice in your eyes don't take it personal .

  • @cupidvalentino1 no im sorry but thanks

  • yo dude, no offense, but there's been plenty of europeans and asians with dreads all thru history. william wallace's whole crew had em in scotland back in the day, all the babas in india have long beautiful locks. sampson had them is the bible, so he would have been middle eastern. dreadlocks happen to any person that washes and doesn't comb, it just happens much faster when you have tight curly more African textured hair like yours.

  • @iammejez and as far as it being "species specific" as you say, there's plenty of animals with dreads. plenty of dogs with em, some donkeys get em, orangutans, etc.

  • @iammejez :)

  • @iammejez , there is a HUGE noticeable difference between matted hair and entwined Dreaded hair. No need to think you are offending me... Even though I didn't post this to fight or debate with your society, i find it odd that you all r even are giving it the time to comment. I will continue to celebrate the difference , but at the end of day ASIAN's and Europeans hair does not do the same thing, as you can see I actually have dreaded hair. Not emotional this is science for my people Peace

  • lol.. i understood what you meant.. those comments were for you it was for spitfire cause he asked what was melinated i explained it to him but i also meant to tell him its melancholy and not melinated

  • @choclatethunder5150 LOL okay I woke up and started commenting as they came up , and then I thought about it I was like " im sure he knew what i meant" im glad u cleard that up for me... peace fam

  • @Rozyonnie segregation is cool... at the end of the day i understand the trial and tribulations that we "as a people" have about not only our appearance but our hair. There's nothing ancient about fine limp str8 hair that "they" themselves call DEAD, no where on earth do u see "konscious" MELINATED/MELANATED beings considering there body temple dead. I plan on doing a video response to my own video for "MYPEOPLE" i could care less what the pale ones FONT

  • this is an excellent video on point in so many ways and MELINATED is a word NOW I just added it to my personal dictionary I dont need Webster to tell me what qualifies as a word lol. I love this vid*stops abruptly *you have horses ?! really whoa!!! love that you brought light to wearing our hair with pride. So many people are afraid to wear their hair proudly because they have been brainwashed into believing that its not acceptable. KEEP MAKING VIDEOS!!!!

  • @misspotential # l love u ,and take that everyway you can :) Peace queen thanks for the view, ahem isn't it time for update video from you .. :)

  • @cupidvalentino1 *covers face in shame* yes it is time for an update I'm in the process of moving so its been crazy but I will be putting up a video VERY soon ^_^ I just was sitting back enjoying your videos so much thanks for the love I'm gonna put it in a glass jar with holes in the top!!!

  • I'm delighted that you touched on this subject. Even though I am locked as well I do walk proud with my hair as it is. It was hard to overcome what others may have said about my hair, I totally agree its a lifestyle not a hairstyle...i look forward to more videos.

  • @sugafoot6182 I was callenged with issue when I first started out, and to be honest until I was happy and affirming of my hair it felt like evryyone had a comment... now that I have taken back my nappy hair I never even notice what others think, to be honest my hair is just natural and the norm. People all over the world especially "my people" are goin bald having receding hair lines and not to mention putting isane chemicals on ther head only to cut that same hair off after some time...nothanks

  • My dreads looked a lot like yours after my first year.

  • @Nerefurian how old are those dreads now ???

  • @cupidvalentino1 A little over 2 years I'd say.

  • @cupidV.... yo datz whassup 4real yo.... But I would like to add that it is very likely that you don't smell becuz u r "ALL NATURAL," from my understanding u r a "Fruitarian," right?

  • Comment removed

  • you said prove you wrong.... go to dreadlockssite(DOT)com and you will see picture of all races with dreads. and most of them did nothiing but wash it and leave it alone

  • @BayAreaBum wrong

  • @Woodtipblacknmild why do you say im wrong?

  • @BayAreaBum you guys have all the right too express yourselves as you wish, NEGLECT methods don't own a place in our society, its just another brand I am not interested in promoting, feel free to express your opinions but understand matted, tangled, fine str8 hair will never be able to accomplish what my hair does, and there is nothing wrong with that as far as me and you go, but its foolish for my people to follow your societies rules and dogmas on something like a hairstyle "nothanks"

  • @cupidvalentino1 wait a minute im not white bro hahahaha so stop talking to me like im white. im just saying you said "were the only ones on earth who can do this, prove me wrong" so i showed you that all races HAVE hair that dreads on its own

  • @BayAreaBum I didn't thnk u were but I didn't want to assume since you were fronting for that site which you and me no is heavily laced with beings that I have no relation to, yeah there are a few of us on that forum sprinkled here and there but for what I will never know

  • its not melinated its melancholy

  • @choclatethunder5150 huh , melancholy , huhhhhhhh man we talking about something totally different...peace though, and thanks for viewing.....

  • @choclatethunder5150 NO im pretty sure I meant Melinated or you can spell it Melanated either way those that are affiliated should understand what I mean.

  • Blessings bro!

  • @Supa6Fly bless up to you sir, hope all iz well in your world

  • I really enjoy ur vids.... ur information... well done.

  • @flagfoot20 gratitude

  • @geragna. it seems ignorant to me to say that "melinated" isn't a word, you understood the meaning besides which every word is made up that's why they exist.

  • @drmguphy It is not an established word that has been clearly defined. Therefore, it is left to mere speculation.

  • @geragna MELINATED/MELANATED all the same to me, I am just not down with calling my people BLACK anyone that will search or seek out past history understands that WHITE AND BLACK are statuses not Nationalities .. ONe looks really foolish screaming crayon colors if they ask "who are you".

  • @cupidvalentino1 I had a 2 hour conversation with my best friend awhile back on this topic about not being black or white I love it so many people dont understand it they dont research their history or even care to know what they are so out of laziness they settle for being black most Europeans will tell you they are irish or russian almost any other race will tell you a race and not a color because most races pass their history down to the children so they have something to identify with.

  • @misspotential Okay I was thnking i was the only one around here that was understanding.. thank you i was literally sitting here saying to myself am i speaking another language

  • @cupidvalentino1 No I totally understand its a huge pet peeve of mine its hard because I usually pick wisely who I open the debate with because as you can see most people dont get it like my friend that I was explaining it to after a hour she says to me " I know what you mean and that makes sense but its easier to just say I'm black" I felt so defeated lmao I hate when people refer to themselves as black and its a lose lose because you can either explain this over and over or cringe every time

  • @misspotential , when u said your friend made the comment its just easier to say im black a lil piece of me just died in the inside. I am so glad to know you and love you for supporting my thoughts, thank you for building with me on this . i was really thinking i was alone. I am meditating over this video that i am about to put out ... borderline frustrated probably should even post it pt 2 GOOD hair "

  • @cupidvalentino1 POST IT not even gonna get into another long comment post it you are bringing truth to the table dont worry about how some may take worry about people who have no clue and dont know themselves you might change someones life teaching them something about themselves they dont know !!!

  • @cupidvalentino1 hey how do u shower

    do u use just water?

  • @ethiochamp yep, water and a hemp shower cloth.

  • @misspotential EXACTLY

  • @cupidvalentino1 .....The color came before crayons.......

  • I still dont get why people call dreadlocks dirty, beautiful horses. Its your hair, its my hair, love it regardless. Dude that thing about the soap in the shower and not using it, just rinsing and what not, ive been doing that for years. Why I have no clue, but it just feels right

  • 'Melinated' isn't a word man, though I can infer what your intended definition may have been.

What's this nonsense at the beginning of your video? Only the hair of black Africans will dread? I doubt you are this ignorant.

  • @geragna ignorant you say .... lol feel free to unsubscribe to the ignorant person... yet in still you are calling people crayon color ... peace WHITE MAN PEACE

  • @Woodtipblacknmild I do not need any response from you. That comment is intended for Valentino as I would like for him to elucidate his belief in this matter. You clearly have nothing to offer here, as I do not intend to unsubscribe over this minute matter.

  • @geragna this is your interpretation, i won't spend time on your judgements.. i think the message was pretty clear for those i intended the video for. if it doesn't resonate with you feel free to unsubscribe , either way call me or my thoughts ignorant, black, or assume I accept the dead word Africans I willhave to block you. peace

  • @cupidvalentino1 I am only referring to the very beginning of this video. It is a fallacy. So, I must assume that you may simply be ignorant of the fact that the hair of all races of Humans will dread, as I don't believe that you would ignore or dismiss this fact.

  • @geragna this video was never intended for you obviously, at this point you are just talking to yourself . peace

  • @cupidvalentino1 It's unfortunate that you are choosing to ignore reality when it has been presented to you. Farewell, may you be enlightened and not dwell in ignorance for long.

  • @geragna no worries man were not the same , so why try

  • @cupidvalentino1 Physically, there is little difference between you and I.

  • @geragna I don't think you overstand what my brother is saying. Structurally his/my hair and your hair is different and though your hair may matte over a long period of time due to not washing or particles in day to day life pulling your hair together, it can only imitate what a Nubian "dredlock" is. Whereby I can wash my hair as much as I want and my hair will continue in that same spiral shape which pulls my hair into a firm "dreadlock" without waxing, comb coils or whatever. Peace

  • @geragna i think you are blind to the fact that they will matte together over time but they do not look like nor have the same science as we who have antenna like hair

  • @geragna get the f out of here with that bull. Who are you? "Webster" on here giving language lessons. Check the content not the language usage.

  • @Mentalwarfare78 THAT IS WHAT'S MOST IMPORTANT MY BROTHER.... KNOWLEDGE, WISDOM, AND UNDERSTANDING. 3 "WORDS" THAT A LOT OF "BLACKS" LACK ABOUT THEMSELVES. WE ARE NOT NERO'S, BLACKS, NOR COLORED PEOPLE.

  • what does melinated mean?

  • @spitefire1012 color..

your lightness or darkness comes from pigmentation.. a low level of pigmentation turns out lighter and a higher level of pigment produces darker skin color

  • @spitefire1012 while your society is comfortabl with caste systems my society does not judge knor classify people as COLORS.. there are men , women and then there are humans.. after that we have nations and under those nations there are families or wha we call nationalities .. Would yo be comfortable if i consider you as PALE or does it seem to be more upfull and right to classify you as a person who honors there forefarther and mothers. either way this post was made for a certain sect.
