Im fortunate enough to live in the town the East India Company had it's headquarters in, most of the road names are named after famous generals from the British/ Indian wars
The British City of London Oligarchy traces its roots back to the founding of the Bank of England, and before that to an alliance with the piratical financiers of post-Renaissance Genoa.
During the late 1800s the Opium money poured into the koffers of such prominent American families as the Taft, Weyerhauser, Goodyear, Kellogg, Dupont, Lord, Whitney, Harriman, Sloane, Rockefeller, Bundy, Perkins, and Bush, becoming America's new money aristocracy.
The American branch of the British East India Company was the Perkins Opium Syndicate. The symbol of the Piratical British East India Company was the Skull and Bones.
British people are good but British Queen , politicians, East India company and British Merchants are drug cartels during 19th century. Shame on you British Queen , politicians , East India company and Merchants. They have no dignity. Does current UK government condemn these 19th century British government sponsor British drug cartels and dealers? Current UK students hate 19th century these British drug cartels?
Ive been addicted to this game for a few days now....i would say its still in beta stage, alot to work on (cant eradicate them damn pirates by capturing their towns!) aswell as numerous crashes and no option to opt out of battle...otherwise bloody brilliant game, oh and pity one cant tour around the actual port...would have been awesome.
..in the END of the 17th century the english east indaia company STARTED to dominate trade. The british EIC is nothing compared to the dutch East India Company before the dutch were invaded by Napoleon and the british got an excuse to occupy (defenseless) dutch South Africa and India.
well to be fair both deserve credit as with the establishment of William of Orange in England the two companies merged into one. It was superior dutch financing coupled with British economic power that lead to their dominance
Game should win the award for the most uninteresting game title ever. Not knocking the graphics or whether the game is good. Looks actually mildly interesting. But that name... Jesus...
Even the sea battles doesn't look as good as in ETW, and the game is called "East India Company"... Im not saying it's a bad game, i wouldn't know, but would defentiely recomend ETW first.
which means the dutch won the 2nd and 3rd ? hehe there's no point in this cause the dutch were just exploring before the english and then the english sort of took over cause the VOC stopped existing. it's fun how they still speak dutch in some of those countries and how such a tiny country as holland had such a big empire. we used to own so much around the world. used to... haha even nova zembla on the north pole and lots in the pacific, africa and indonesia.
no way... Dutch company was equal maybe even bigger than the British. The Dutch owned almost everything in india. they owned New york Before England did but the dutch traded new york to suriname cause suriname brought more wealth at the time. Even australia used to be from holland first but because there was nothing to get there the Dutch traded it to the english. The Dutch won 2 wars at that time from the english.
Dutch East India Co. was the first multinational corporation in the world and the first company to issue stock. It was also arguably, the world's first megacorporation, possessing quasi-governmental powers, including the ability to wage war, negotiate treaties, coin money, and establish colonies. It remained an important trading concern for almost two centuries, paying an 18% annual dividend for almost 200 years.
doubt it my friend the VOC and The WIC and the Noordsche Compagnie where the largest trading fleets in the world at that time the britisch might have had the upper hand in warships but certainly not in commerce ships
i guess it's a thing everybody learnes differently cause i'm Dutch and i've learned that the Dutch were way superior to the British around that time. The VOC was way big and made holland the most rich country in the world and we still profit from that. That's why we call it the golden age. The dutch discovered the 7 seas. that's what i've learned

asian countries like indonesia and singapur.
