Dont try to make excuses for Yousuke, surely he is a good and brave fighter. Otherwise he would not be in a ring with Manhoef, but the "move" was clearly an provocation.

That doesnt mean that is necessarily a bad thing... But this time it ended bad for him, because it just got Melvin more motivated to unload, and he did...

yeah nishijima did evade very good but then he got trapped in a corner so he's not that good.

i don't remember nishijima throwing a punch that landed... and he should not have been in a mma fight. i didn't know there was a mma fighter with worse ground skills than manhoef.

Nishijima isn`t quite used even to kicks, not to say about ground wrestling, not to say he s relatively light and not so tall as most of K-1 stars (though in this fight the fighters were of basically the same category) ... Better if it was a stand-up only fight. Though looks like anyway Melvin was stronger.

But Nishijima is improving, and probably in 2010 he ll start to win his first fights in K-1....

Nishijima has been in MMA for 3 years now. He is making petty cash by inciting Japanese fan base. He was a mediocre boxer too. Bottomline, this guy sucks. He would lose to Zulu or Giant Silva.
