im not kidding..my wife and i thank god i have a wittness,have seen the same thing here in the mountains of nc. U.S.A not 50ft above our heads moving silently must have been the size of a foot ball feild. no joke! to see something like this is mind blowing to say the least.i belive,belive me.if you've never seen one you would belive to if you saw this awesome craft float silently over your head. i look up every morning i go out to the car to go to work.

chinese lantern

I live in Mitcham and have seen these orange lights every couple of months. I believe they are chinese lanterns as I lit one from my back garden and as it floated further and further it started to look the same as what you've captured. Chinese lanterns are £1 in most of the local pound shops and I have seen several people lighting them throughout the last year. Possible explanation?

I grew up and went to school in mitcham lived there 29 years till 2005 and have vivid memories of spending the night over the 7 islands with mates as a teenager and seeing strange things.

There are clearly many things we are not told about by our schools(not just the shit one in mitcham :;) and media.

Thanks for sharing that with us. Who know what they were. As someone who lived in Mitcham for 36 years, finally at Cedars Avenue (moved 1996) it is nice to see. I remember a friend of mine and I were fishing on the Seven Islands late one night and out of nowwhere appeared an extremely tall being, which made up pack up rather quickly, avoiding the bushes that led back home, and heading for the nearest stree lights located in Windmill Road. Are we alone? I very much doubt it.

a few years back my mum was driving me home and i looked in the sky (at day) and saw what i thought were a flock of birds flying closely together, i stared for a while because it didnt look like they were moving, kind of looked like black dots, anyway all the black dots sort of moved in small circle patterns, like if you were to hold your arm out and make small circles. Myself and my wife saw something very similiar in Mitcham 2003 that we can't explain.They were about 50 meters away and lit up like an electricity sphere, They started spinning once they went alongside the pilon by our house. They then took off at the same speed and distance apart extemely fast. We watched them for about 3 to 4 minutes and saw every detail very clearly.

I've seen something similar in color flying in the California desert... it moved oddly... not at all like a plane or Helo.. it was jagged in it's movements and came very low to the ground at times... thanks for sharing your video.

i live in mitcham, myself and about 20 other people see these lights who were with me at a freinds engagement party...they travelled in a straight line overhead before splitting and forming different shapes,some were going forward some were going backwards and sidewards...ive heard the lantern theory but lanterns would not make the shapes these did or travel as fast or as slow as these strange orbs did.

no problem, she has seen ufos a few times, this was the first time we caught them on video, children are more open minded than adults. As for first contact, I dont think we as a society are ready, because there is a lot of fear surrounding ETs, thanks to hollywood (ETs are portrayed negatively). I believe that ETs have been watching/involved with us for a very long time and probably wont land until we as a society accept that they are benign, if they landed now it would cause chaos

I live in Mitcham too!! I saw a yellow/orange sphere of fire on Saturday night moving quite fast horizontally across the sky. It even appeared to have a slight tail - needless to say alot of other people thought it was a sky lantern even though the whole object was enveloped in fire and it moved considerably faster than the wind that evening. Where in Mitcham did you see this - I saw mine on the Beddington/ Mitcham border at about 10pm

We saw just the same thing,except 6 of them they golwed orange in the sky and moved slowly high in the nites sky,we filmed them for aroud ten mins,my brother was so scarred,me too i thought they were UFO'S untill the next day it was front page news as hundreads spotted them over a huge distance, but unfortunetly they turned out to be sky lanterns,i was in such shock when i witnessed them n thought just what you and your family did whilst it was happening

Not to dismiss what you are saying but it seems a "chinese lantern" longest flight time is about 20 mins (dual cell one). We live in Mitcham (South London) 200 miles from Manchester, there was very little wind that night. Also they all followed a definite trajectory. I think its a case of do you trust your own eyes/instincts or do you believe what the media/papers tell us to believe? Only you can decide what you saw that night. Peace :D
