  • (ok I'm glad that you weren't offended Harry.) is the way it was supposed to read..see what happens when we don't add the punctuation marks where they belong...changes the whole meaning of the sentence...or is this still a little humor going on here? LOL phyllis...

  • @sleepytimegalz

You caught me Phylis.....But to be honest at first i thought you ment you thought i was not harry.....But just as i was about to send it I realized what you meant ...So a little more humor would probably be closer to the truth

  • @dmattosbr

    Your Welcome for sure

    Hwaj5300

  • you people are comparing a ballad to an uptempo song ,really? well your commentary is only an opinion and opinions vary. next time perhaps you could compare things that a bit more relevant

  • Arthur Crier and The Halos-superb backup.

  • much better then "angel eyes" I have always loved this for a looooog time. Sweeeeeet!!!!!

  • OK

    Hwaj5300

  • I agree 100%

  • Just my opinion. This is way better than Angel Eyes.

    kj

  • Hi kj

I posted this because like you I thought it was Great

The other side however was a little more commercial

    Hwaj5300

  • A Lovely Song Just To Relax To, Nice And Easy. THANKS!!!!!!!!!

  • Another classic from Curtis Lee, great falsetto, if it had been released as an A side ,would have been huge

  • Comment removed

  • I'm a Philly boy and this was played at all of the record hops in the early 60s. I loved Pretty Little Angel Eyes a lot, too. Thanks forthe memories

  • Harry.. I hppe you don't mind two more requests- I have been looking on YT for two

    songs by the Harptones-

    A. " The Masquerard Is Over ", and

    B. " Cry Like I Cried. "

Can you be of service? Thanks so much.

  • I liked this song better than "pretty little angel eyes"...thank you...a great oldie.

  • Elvis or Jackie Wilson? maybe you should turn up your hearing aid

  • i just found this song by accident thinking it was his version of gee by the crows but this is just as good! good job i found it!

  • Where in Phila did you grow up? I am originally from Media.

  • " Pretty little angel eyes " was the Curtis Lee's only super hit that was known in Chile. It came to the first place in November, 1961.

This one was the Side B and was known by the title "How I wish you were here" and is very beautiful, also.

Regards from Chile. Look in youtube for Disco 45 and VIVA EL ROCK AND ROLL, of Manuel Vargas, Chilean artist who produces an honoring to the music of this time.

  • I forgot to mention that the ending is one of the best endings of any record of any era!!!

    Thanks again!!!

  • I know this B side and it is AWESOME!!! Another fine lost classic that should have gone all the way to NUMBER ONE!!! It DON'T GIT NO BETTA THAN DIS!!!! Thank you!!!! The quality is excellent!!! GEE!!! I just realized it is Saturday and I am lonely!!!

  • Such a nice romantic song, I love these pitter-patter songs. He surely knows how to carry a note...nice voice. Thank you for providing the lyrics. Good graphical work, I noticed the different positions of the moon in clockwise rotation on your border, nice touch to a romantic song. Thanks for your talented work.

  • Too bad the dj's that play oldies yet today won't flip this record over and play it...as with so many other dusty disks from the 50's and 60's

  • B Sides can be very entertaining - you don't need any more proof than listening to this. Like you I appreciate when someone takes the time to comment !

  • Does it sound like Elvis Presley or Jackie Wilson?

  • I used to have this on re-issued 7" alas its gone walk abouts, thanks for posting.

  • Good Video. Curtis Lee had a very versatile voice, including singing pure 50's Rock n' Roll, to Do Wop, as this song "Gee" is, to a couple he had that sounded a lot like Ricky Nelson. I really Didn't much like "Pretty Little Angel Eyes" but I thought most all of the others I heard by him were great, I wish I could find more of his music, maybe somebody out there could put some more of them on video.

  • I've never heard anything by him besides Pretty Little Angel Eyes. Good voice. Marc Trainor.

  • Hey thanks for the comment Marc I do appricate it.You did not miss too much as "Gee" was thw "B' side of "pretty little angel eyes" I explained in the discription.I was going to do the jarmels "B" side but I see some one did. So I choose to do thi one

    Thanks again your kind.

  • Great idea from yu to put the lyrics into the video.

    Nice 6/8 slow dance.

  • Hey you are quite welcome I do appiciate the comment. It kinda let's me know some is listening. and I like to believe that is what my songs are about (the Sound) thank you for the comment

  • Nicely done. Thankyou for "putting it out here"
