its not acting. youtube for the 'Boiling Point' show that is basically a 'cameras watching' documentary of his very first kitchen. he's an angry bully and a true Scrooge if ever there was one. If anything, he appears to have to work quite hard at simply behaving in a civil manner.
To get where he has, Gordon HAD to be a hardass. You don't get 15 restaurants all over the world (and counting?), several tv shows on both sides of the pond and several books published by just sitting back and being a softy in the kitchen. He's a fucking badass chef and a decent, genuine guy.
When YOUR name is the one on the front door, you want everything to be just like you want it. He's passionate about what he does and I really have the greatest respect for him because of that.
The fellow may be a world class chef but there are thousands of them... listen up!

I also agree that he's a nice guy in real life...
you can see that from Kitchen Nightmare... the way he treats those Chefs is remarkable (of course after correcting their mistakes) and when they go together in trips and picnics... he's a very funny and cute guy LOL

just to tell everyone, my dad knows someone who met gordon and he says that he is actually nice in real life, and that he just swears and acts like what he does so the viewers don't get bored. Its true. Believe it or not.

its not acting. youtube for the 'Boiling Point' show that is basically a 'cameras watching' documentary of his very first kitchen. he's an angry bully and a true Scrooge if ever there was one. If anything, he appears to have to work quite hard at simply behaving in a civil manner.

To get where he has, Gordon HAD to be a hardass. You don't get 15 restaurants all over the world (and counting?), several tv shows on both sides of the pond and several books published by just sitting back and being a softy in the kitchen. He's a fucking badass chef and a decent, genuine guy.
When YOUR name is the one on the front door, you want everything to be just like you want it. He's passionate about what he does and I really have the greatest respect for him because of that.

The fellow may be a world class chef but there are thousands of them... listen up!
What Ramsay portrays, over the visual evidence that he can cook, is that of a bully... and no bully should be rewarded!
They guy is a terrible example for aspiring young chefs or non chefs alike.
No one wants to be treated for the glorification of Ramsay, who is really just another cook... some even think he invented the basic cooking ingredients... duhh!

The bullying part of his career (US hell's kitchen mostly) is entirely ACTING.
In the mostpart of his shows (like from which this clip is taken) he shows passion and honesty. He is a great chef (and actor, obviously).
Im not saying he's the best chef in the world, i would be the among the last ones to know, but that doesn't really matter in this sence.

in the kitchen, no one listens to someone who can't speak for themseleves. gordon the most inspiring chef in the world for me and i have learned his passion for his career. if you own a restaurant, you want your guests to get what they paid for and not just craps. i happened to work in cactus club bentall and i know what's good and not. i live in the kitchen.
