I worship God and pray to him. I used to make my children worship and pray to me, but after awhile I said to myself, "Self, you are very silly and selfish to appreciate being worshiped and prayed to!" And so I quit doing that, but I don't think god is smart enough to realize how stupid that is, so I still pray and worship him so he doesn't throw me in hell to burn eternally. Praise Jesus!
i remember he came to the word church in cleveland and preached and performed this song at the end, that man is sooo annointed... i never felt a release like that before that night, i never felt the holy spirit so heavy on me before that. its like he broke through something and now i can feel and hear it clearer. the entire sanctuary was on their knees crying, praying, and worshiping, including my pastor and first lady.

from what I understand is when someone is preaching a word and you get revelation or that part of the word connects with your spirit; then you sow into that word. Like if you've been struggling with something in your walk with God and He allows the preacher to release your answer from on High. Does sowing necessarily have to be monetary? The idea of placing money on the alter like that is almost like "paying for blessings" and we all know that Jesus paid the ultimate price for our salvation. He came so that we might have life and through him we shall be saved. Sooo... to say that they are "sowing into the word" to me is almost like you're tipping the messenger for doing what the Lord says do. Just my opinion.
I agree with you. It makes the church look like some sortof con or hustle to have all of that money piled around the alter. It's cheap. Jesus came and worked miracles, and he walked this earth like a pauper. I just don't get it. I've never been an advocate of the whole money exchange. Here you have the churchgoers struggling while the pastor drives a Benz.. it's just a mockery of everything Jesus stood for as a man sent down from Heaven.
@nupshawjr, it doesnt have to be monetary, it can be anything of value to the giver. its also nt about tipping anyone. I guess if i gave my jacket away during the worship service, it would still be regarded as though im paying for a blessing or tipping the worshipers for a blessing. Its nt like that at all. My church does nt collect offering or tithes, the giver has to put the offering at the altar as and when she/he is led by the Spirit to do so.

I worship God and pray to him. I used to make my children worship and pray to me, but after awhile I said to myself, "Self, you are very silly and selfish to appreciate being worshiped and prayed to!" And so I quit doing that, but I don't think god is smart enough to realize how stupid that is, so I still pray and worship him so he doesn't throw me in hell to burn eternally. Praise Jesus!

i remember he came to the word church in cleveland and preached and performed this song at the end, that man is sooo annointed... i never felt a release like that before that night, i never felt the holy spirit so heavy on me before that. its like he broke through something and now i can feel and hear it clearer. the entire sanctuary was on their knees crying, praying, and worshiping, including my pastor and first lady.

@asmithHF: the presence of God is dictated by what others chose or do not chose to do. God will come in the midst of all for the voice of one. Almighty and powerful is he. We cannot stand in judgement but receive the presence of God on the ground you stand upon. That's why I pray in groups with my eyes closed....it only about you and the father. Blessings

I love this worship song...but it amazes me that even though the song says BOW DOWN many ppl don't do it and I'll admit at first I was one of the ppl that stood...but now I know that Worship in the Greek means to prostrate oneself, bow, kneel before God, I just want 2 admonish those that seek to truly worship God in the right way to literally BOW before God and if you are interested in learning more check out Evangelist Jacob Toback & his book No Flesh Stands in The Holy of Holies. The only sacrifice that God requires is your life. To be like Christ and the only monetary gift that he ask for is your tithe, all he asked for is 10 percent of your earning and thats it. If your in need of something all you have to do is ask and if its according to His will them you will get it....I never seen in the word that you have to give money to get something from God..You just give what is required...And watch him bless you....

from what I understand is when someone is preaching a word and you get revelation or that part of the word connects with your spirit; then you sow into that word. Like if you've been struggling with something in your walk with God and He allows the preacher to release your answer from on High. Now that's my understanding, someone else might have another answer; but just remember Psalm 1:1- don't allow an ungodly person tell thier thoughts, plz.

Does sowing necessarily have to be monetary? The idea of placing money on the alter like that is almost like "paying for blessings" and we all know that Jesus paid the ultimate price for our salvation. He came so that we might have life and through him we shall be saved. Sooo... to say that they are "sowing into the word" to me is almost like you're tipping the messenger for doing what the Lord says do. Just my opinion.

I agree with you. It makes the church look like some sortof con or hustle to have all of that money piled around the alter. It's cheap. Jesus came and worked miracles, and he walked this earth like a pauper. I just don't get it. I've never been an advocate of the whole money exchange. Here you have the churchgoers struggling while the pastor drives a Benz.. it's just a mockery of everything Jesus stood for as a man sent down from Heaven.

@nupshawjr, it doesnt have to be monetary, it can be anything of value to the giver. its also nt about tipping anyone. I guess if i gave my jacket away during the worship service, it would still be regarded as though im paying for a blessing or tipping the worshipers for a blessing. Its nt like that at all. My church does nt collect offering or tithes, the giver has to put the offering at the altar as and when she/he is led by the Spirit to do so.
