The game is called "IL-2 Sturmovik : Forgotten Battles", but it is available in a few different versions. The latest (and last) release in the series is called "IL-2 Sturmovik : 1946", and can be bought fairly cheaply now.
Keep in mind that it is not really a game, but a very very realistic (and therefore, very difficult) simulation.
Very nice. What I do not understand is that your speed in the lower left corner states 310 km/h while the bomb sight controls are set for 450 km/h at time of Bombs away. Shouldn't the two be the same?
Left corner shows indicated air speed (IAS), while u need set true air speed (TAS) in the bombsight. At sea level IAS=TAS, but at 7km 310IAS=450TAS. But u dont need to know what IAS = TAS at different altitudes. Only set the right altitude that is easy to get then turn the auto sight on, and then use the TAS increase/decrease buttons to move the cosshair up or down untill it is fixed and stable on the target. U will need constant changes as u approach to target it works dynamically. But works :)
nice

default controls... from cockpit, press C once then shift F1
Phillax31 3 years ago
there are controls u gotta define - like bombsight altitude +/-, TRUE airspeed +/-, bomsight automation (some are manual like Pe-2 Peshka)
