  • Just love this devil - this video is art, keep up! thanxs for 4 posting it. (:

  • I dig the sound !

can someone tell me how you put the suffle ?

cuz i tried in rec mode but that didnt work..(and the knob is ok btw)

  • ive heard that these machines hiss a lot. is it true?

  • Really cool! I just sent some e-mail about buying a 503 :)

  • Well done.

I'm a fan of your work

  • noisey o

  • What a wanderful little beast this is! I own one! I play it connecting the bass drum to a t-resonator, the snare to a delay and the rest to a kaoss pad. Sometimes I add a little fx from the main mixer and let a Future Retro Revolution play along with it! Just love it!

  • Great machine for its price. I want one!

  • great demo, very spaaaaace! thanks

  • you mentioned there were volume and panning errors, were you referring to your performance, or the design of the drum machine? Either way, I thought this clip was great!

  • sry for this waiting time. Well some of the instruments are panned out as a part of the design. But, some of it is also my fault :D

  • What would be better to try and emulate the 808. This or the new 522?

  • 522 For sure. The 503 is definetly more 909 ish, just listen at that nice hard kick!

  • Nice ominous atmosphere there!

  • I just ordered one of these things yesterday, planning on running it through my Doepfer modular setup...should get some nice dirty and fat sounding drums with it. :)

  • that thing is badass.

  • is there a really big difference between the 502 and 503? i personally find more appealing the 502, but i am not able to try any of them because i live in spain...and in the web there is only demos for the 502...

thanks, and great track with the samples...

  • The difference is _huge_ - it's more or less two completely different machines.

But they suit each other very well :)

I like the 503 for the more heavy'n'hard stuff and the 502 is great for electronica'n'experimental.

  • thansk man! i am looking for a drum machine to do thom yorke/radiohead type of percussions...very electronic and experimental, playing with resonance and pitches without having to buy a big modular system...i suppose that both will do the job...thanks again...have a great time doing your music!

  • Well on the 503 there are som cool "tweak" possibilities - but no cutoff/resonance.

  • Great. There is only a few video about the MBF 503 and this is excellent !

  • Thanks :)

  • gr8 Mr. Karma:)

  • Cool review.

Strange is that MFB gear look much worst than it sounds. It looks pretty DIY. If they pay more attention on the design I bet they can be more successful.

  • if they would, it wont be cheap anymore :)

  • thank you for your gear reviews!!!

  • No problem - more to come ;)
