  • The book is called Krebs: Sechs Fugen für Klavier

  • Die Antwort des Verlages war "Leider momentan nicht zugänglich" .... Wie Schade!!! Vielleicht könnten Sie mir diese einzige Fuge einscanen und schicken - ausnahmsweise ale brüderliche Hilfe?

The response from the publishing house was "Sorry, not available .... What a pity! Perhaps you could let me einscanen this single joint and send - exceptionally ale fraternal assistance?

  • Beautiful, Pastor.

  • Your artistry is incredible. Bravo!

  • I listen this piece again and again. Can u record this again with better sound? this is really very beautiful fugue.

  • I might record it again, if I have the time.

  • Pity that such a wonderful composition on a good harpsichord is recorded with insufficient electronic machinery.

  • Aversome perfomance of Krebs Fugue in A Minor. I think this is one of the best composition i ever heard. Do u have a sheet of this fugue to share? I want to play it on piano. and desperately tried to find it over the internet.

  • The Krebs Fugues are published by Carus.

  • well done! but what krebs is doing, he tried to get some effect in the end for example, not only counterpoint, but a litte bit of "action"!! bach did this in his organ fugues!

  • Loved your playing, specially your phrasing. Good work!

  • Tremendous fugue, I love it. Krebs was J.S. Bach's protege and you can tell from the excellent counterpoint and beauty of sound this fugue conveys why Bach held him so highly. They say that Krebs had no equal on the pipe organ except for Bach himself. The harpsichord playing here is very good also! Bravo!

  • Good playing!

A small detail: when both hands start to play, there is a slight accelleration in tempo. Sometimes during the fugue as well...

Apart from that: keep up the good work!

  • i would like to hear this peac on organ.

  • very nice, does honor for our last name. Krebs rocks

  • As a Krebs myself and a classical music lover, I am delighted to have newly discovered JL's works. And this, I must say, is one of the best pieces of harpsichord playing I have heard in quite some time. Bravo!

  • Krebs family ftw!!!! im proud to have that as a last name!!!

  • that's my last name, too. i am very proud to have it.. it's german, isn't it?

  • You are right, it's german and means cancer and crab

  • well done!

nice music. I love Krebs...see my videos!

  • Charming barocque - listening to you is pure delight - thank you =

  • I have watched your version of bach's gigue fugue + this video and your playing is wonderful. More More !

  • I LOVE FUGUES!!! This one is absolutely amazing!! Also I really enjoy your playing, since I understand the harpsichord isn't to easy to play?

  • Thank you for bringing such beauty out into the world.

  • Your video clip is great and I've rated it as awesome. Please check out mine on some 1920's trading cards of musical instruments, including the harpsichord.

  • Your performance is simply outstanding! Krebs is another of those lesser known baroque gems. Irmtraud Krüger is another fine interpreter of his organ works.

  • CARUS VERLAG publish the six suites { along with sechs sonaten in a separate edition } for harpsichord by Krebs - I hope you enjoy playing this very fine music - The fourth part of his Clavier-Übung.

    Harpsichord (piano, organ)

    Composer: Johann Ludwig Krebs

    Editor: Felix Friedrich

  • Thanks for this. I will certainly look into this edition. On the subject of Krebs, I learnt via a set of CDs on Silbermann organs that some sonatas by Krebs have been rediscovered. I wonder who might know about these?

  • Simply superb! I can't stop listening to it. Effortless nobility of playing, rhetorical nuance and the most seamless page turns I've ever seen! Thank you for sharing this and your other fine recordings of rarely heard treats.

  • A superb performance of this challenging fugue - I love the music of Krebs and , as a harpsichordist , am trying to play the suite in b minor from his ' Exercise pour Clavessin '. maybe I shall play some of the pieces here !!

  • I have listened to this about 8 times in the past few days. It gets better and better! Absolutely beautiful! Mr. Pastor is amazing. Beautiful and interesting piece too.

  • wonderful music !! Mr Pastor is one of the best harpsichordist available on yt, quite professional.
