its a quite good laptop, i have the same since almost 4 years and it still run well, it just over heat and the fan is making almost more noise than a taking off boeing 747. but i like this laptop!

My Compaq now:- battery last for 10 minutes, Laptop had been so hot eversince i got it, it's so hot, it's impossible for me to have it on my lap or even to touch it. I could really cook an egg on it, LITERALLY.

I need a new laptop there is 5 problems with this laptop.

1) Fans barely work.

2) The bottom of my laptop gets so hot i can cook a egg on it.

3)The Graphics card is absolutly rubbish.

4)The HDD is from Toshiba and gets really warm.

5)The fans IF they work are so loud!.

I got this laptop in late 2008 and after 6 months it began screwing around with me, the batteries broke and so did my hard drive due to overheating problems. Spent $300 to upgrade to 2gb ram, new hard drive and windows 7 but at least it works perfectly for me now :)

Stupid peice of shit laptop. I do not recomend this laptop. Its horrible. Mine has a battery leak, so now it is officially a stationary laptop. If I unplug it it dies autmaticallly, 10minute reboot, slow as turtles having sex, windows VISTA (eww) and alot of other internal problems... lol. Thats just mine :P

This laptop is a piece of shit, it just dies on you all the time.. hard drive failed 3 times. Total working time: 1 year. Now it doesn't even turn on.

Iv'e tried getting into it myself but it's just too much hastle and screws.

Vista ran fine on it, there's no drivers for XP though.

I'm considering sending it back to HP.

Sucks... good thing I got Gateway NV53 while my sister has this piece of crap! It's screen goes blank in like 30 minutes without charger and the charging cable gets weak really easy and falls off. It is really slow and overworks itself until it crashes with one program on! THUMBS DOWN!

Great laptop for casual web surfing, school work, flash games, etc... BUT it is HORRIBLE for gaming, if you plan to game at all do not get this computer. Also its battery life is 1 and a half hours on low performance, so thats also not so great.

No complaints about the product itself, but I did have problems with it when running Windows Vista, so I upgraded to Windows 7, and Im actually upgrading the hard drive and RAM, a nice little machine, and for a great price.

you could try reseting your internet explorer. to do this go to start page at bottom left of screen. then go to control panel, then select internet options. select advanced at the top right. select reset at bottom right, then you will be promted to do the rest. you may have to overide your security system while doing it. there is a couple other things you could try but do tat first. hope this helps.

hold it then press "pg up" for vol up and "pg dn" for vol down these buttons r on the right of the keyboard.

all the pictures in little boxes can be enabled by using the "fn" button

I got my C700 for like 999SGD. It came with a 4GB thumbdrive, a printer, and a webcam. I thought it was a rather low end notebook, but it's functionality far exceeded my expectations. Good job, HP.
