I love this rivalry, when you consider at the time when Canada had Gretzky, Lemiux, Roy and many onther incredibly tallented superstars, the USSR or Russia was always an equally tallented or better team. Some people say they were doped up but I prefer to take their word and call it fair. Great teams, great rivalry and a great respect for the Russia. I hope when we meet you in the next Olympics we have a closer game.

@Steath3 well considering half of them were in Russia and I know for a fact half of Canada turned on the team in the '72 series. I mean it was only the super lame people that need a win or cry for days but still.

@olegalberta 1981 should have been there, yes . . . 1979 was not technically Canada but an NHL team, even though almost all players were Canadian (except Salming and Hedberg, I think). Including the game from the '82 WJC is suspect. WC gold game from Quebec 2008 should be there, WJC final from Pardubice 2002, Olympic quarterfinal from Turin 2006.
