I cannot forget Ms. Danniebelle Hall. She has been a significant part of my life from childhood to adulthood. I remember singing her songs and feeling the Holy Spirit move upon me. She is truly a legend. "Ordinary People" is a classic. when she sang, she knew to whom and for whom she was singing about. I miss this kind of music. Thank you "minjimmierodgers" for the memories. "Gone but never forgotten".
One of my favorite singers! I got to hear her at a local church when I was in Columbus. I was so moved and impressed. I even taught some of her songs to our Sunday School class of 11 yr. olds. I miss her voice in these days of overly commercialized "gospel."
Good afternoon all. I'm really enjoy listening to the "Old Time Religion." I must say the entire time I have been visiting this site, I've listened only to the Barrett Sister's. Wow! Yet on this day, I decided to listen to all the other singer's. And, what a blessing it has been. Again, these legends have realy lifted my spirit. God Bless!
These songs take me back to my teens! thank you for uploading. I loved and admired Dannibelle Hall ever since I was a child, the power and range in her voice was just incredible. This unassuming lady really used her gifts for the glory of God!
IF WE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM , HOW WOULD WE EVER KNOW THAT GOD COULD SOLVE THEM. THANK GOD FOR YOUR STORMS CAUSE HOW ELSE WOULD WE KNOW HE COULD BRING US THROUGH IT . THROUGH IT ALL THE POWER OF FAITH.
Before she passed, Danniebelle Hall & my pastor, John A. Cherry were close friends. I remember the last time I heard her sing OH SHE BABA! Oh she delivered that song w/ so much power!!!
I Thank God for this soldier in Christ even though you've gone on to be with the Lord he left us with your music. To your family May God Bless & use you the way he did Sis. Danniebelle
All videos were not rated, but I know that with each one, it reminds me of my grandmother who came up with the Roberta Martin Singers, the Clara Ward singers and so many others in NY so many years ago, I can hear her singing every one of these songs on early sunday morning worship services. I praise God for the many saints of faith we have gone before, He indeed has given us a great crowd of witnesses who have lived to declare His Almighty name! Thank you again for sharing!
I spent many Sunday mornings getting ready for church in my grandparent's room, and Sheila Robinson (on San Francisco radio) would play "O Se Baba" every time. That would always get me and my younger brother pumped for Sunday services! LOL. Danniebelle is leading the heavenly angels in song up there....
She was a great friend, and when she was in town, she would come over and we would play and sing, and then she would make me her famouus " Harvey Wallbanger cake" with Galiano, but I would have to go to the liquor store to get the Galliano. Great memories of a great lady.
Such memories of Danniebelle playing in a little church in Durban, South Africa way back in mid 80's - ppl were lined up outside, along the windows to catch this worshipper, which is essentially what she was all about! So great to see her on here - thanks to the posters!! :)
Before Dannie Went with Andre' and even before she formed the Danniebells. I had the previlege on working with her as we shared the Gospel in many of the Bay Areas churches. I so miss my friend, she was warm, caring and amazing friend. Min Gene Viale
How i miss you mommy! Your presence is truly missed! it is such a wonderful thing - through technology to be able to come and see you! Love your daughter Cynthia!
@cyphizzle: Your Mom was simply, the best. Love her, love her music, love her laughter. Looking forward to rejoicing together with her one day on the other side! God bless you.
@cyphizzle I will always remember going to a dinner/concert for the homeless in the DC area where your Mom was ministering in song, and how I had ALL of her recordings with me (Danniebelle, This Moment, Let Me Have A Dream, Live In Sweden, Unmistakeably Danniebelle, and Designer's Original), and she took the time in the middle of eating dinner, to autograph ALL of them! I still have them! I look forward to hearing her again someday in the new Heaven and Earth. Thank God for "someday."
looking at this you can see that MINISTRY was way more important than the way they looked. They didn;t care about what the world sounded/looked/dressed like. They are my heros.
Jeffrey LaValley is a fantastic keyboardist, teacher and writer. I thank God for his contribution to the body of Christ. Dannibelle will be one of my favorite singers for Ordinary People.
"Take me Back" by Danniebelle with Andrae Crouch.........way back in the 70's. I will never forget this lady. She touched and blessed me then and she still does now.
When my husband died, there were only two CD's I was able to listen to. One was Matt Redman's. The other was Daniebelle's. That CD reminded me over and over of God's promises and encouraged me every day.
Thank u Elder Rodgers 4 this clip! I must say when I 1st saw her it stunned me and I burst into tears! They had Dannibelle funeral at My church and I hadn't seen here since then I was recuperating from being hit by a car but I had 2 go and pay my last respect to dannibelle who was good friends 2 my pastor nd came by our church nd sang a lot.Every major gospel artist was there the Hawkins Andrea & Sandra Crouch, The Rambos Jessy Dixon,The Winans etc we danced and danced at her funeral. RIP ! DBH
Manofpower30, I agree with you 100%, do get me wrong I also like today's music, but there is just something about this type of music, maybe because we came up with this, too bad we can not buy this video, thanx Elder J
all the music on this video have had me crying. because it reminds me of what real gospel sunday morning church music use to sound like people left church with hope not just from the pastor giving a word but the music up lefted people spirt. i need this video. where can i find it.
Praise God! I truly hope you were blessed by this! This project has not been released. I receieved permission from an original caravans member who asked that I only post and that is what I have done! Hope you were blessed! Elder J.
@minjimmierodgers That so much looks like Angelo Wilkes but its been so long since I left Norwalk and the church. If he has a brother named Larry and Stevie... I think its him. I miss this part of my life.
Deliverence Temple is all I can remember...and he was a music mentor as a child and so talented.
@manofpower30 What you say is so true. I was listening to a live broadcast of a service. I turned it off. I came back here to feel again what is stirring here. This is the difference. Real worship, real Spirit. Thank you!
My favourite song from Danni was God Giveth from one of her albums. Does anybody know that song? It's one of those that happily haunts you in your hard times and reminds you to keep holding onto God's unchanging hand. I love the psalmists of God
Danniebelle hall had some of the best contemparary gospel albums ever made. If your able to get your hands on one, grab it with a quickness. God bless you Danniebelle!
Before Kim B, before Vannessa B and all the others there was Danniebelle Hall-A Wonderful Psalmist and instrumentalist.God bless her memory and continued influence to this day.
Dr. Margaret Douroux (Of Los Angeles)did a benefit progam for Danniebelle before she died. Heritage Music Foundation does an annual Conference each year in October and they donated their offerings that year to her. HMF is trying to erect a "Gospel House" in Los Angeles that will achive projects like these. So our children will know where we came from and who paved the road for Kirk Franklin, John P Kee, Yolanda Adams. You see Dr. Douroux sitting next to Richard Smallwood.
What a blessing this song is. I feel like I've been to church! I remember when she used to sing with Andrae Crouch. She ministered. She didn't perform. And God used her 'til it was time to take her home. What a fantastic minister of God! I miss her so much.
You are blessed to have such wonderful footage. I check everyday to see what you have added. I to would love to hear what Mildred Howward sang. She was an awesome second lead with the Harmonettes.....powerful and strong in the background as well. Thanks for sharing and please keep them coming.
