@NikkiRose It could have to do with the way they get their hair cut. If you just cut it then you are cutting the top coat to show the undercoat which is normally softer and curlier. If you "strip" your dog you are taking out the undercoat and the hair is normally straight and rougher.

@CircaProductions101 i cut my miniature schnauzers' hair like that because its better in the summer because where i live it gets really hot an that fur makes them uncomfortable, same for the winter but i let it grow out as much as possible. The schnauzer hair cut that looks like they have a skirt is mainly used in dog shows.
