  • Ummmm....kudos for the nice hydraulic set up but i think i prefer to feel the seating of my primers by the doing it manually. That just leaves too much room for error. Nice job though.

  • Outstanding!

  • This takes all the fun out of reloading, man. I reload each bullet manually with the Dillon xl650 and have a great time creating bullets. While you've done a good job, there doesn't seem to be much satisfaction in this. Nice accomplishment though. Personally though, I would have bought another gun instead of putting the money into making it fully automatic.

  • @static8888 Unless he's doing this commercially which would make reloading just work, and none of us really like that. I like reloading, but if I had a set up like this I'd end up just selling most of it sense I wouldnt have my work into it.

  • can i use this machine for any round. and if so what about the cost of such a machine

  • What caliber are you reloading?

1 - the shellholder should be a little bit larger then the case you're reloding (eg. if you're reloading 9mm use a .40sw shellholder)

2 - be sure that the primer pin is centered in the shellholder slot when it push in

  • What caliber are you reloading?

  • @forp68

  • What I don't get is that every 40 or so rounds I get a primer that is a bit difficult going in. If It really hangs, I'll pull the shell and debur the primer pocket. But whenever the primer doesn't go in smoothly, I pull the casing and check it.

Probably 1 of every 4 that go in difficult are not usable. How do you take this into account?

Or is my machine improperly adjusted? I'm no expert, but it seems that this is unavoidable unless you really prep your brass first.

  • HAHAHAHAHHA What in the fuck!

  • GOOD JOB, SIR! Do you have information available as to how to modify your 650 into a full auto machine?

  • hello Mr. Maurizio can you tell me or show me how you have the bullet accurater plate fasten on to the platform, I have made one for a 550 but I've got a 650 that I want to do this to

  • nice work man

  • very impressive......your own design?

    bob

  • that is cleaver using hydraulics to do that

  • is there a powder check step in there ?

  • Very cool sir

  • pretty cool! it sounds like you addressed some safety concerns with control circuits and feedback loops. do you have level control on your powder, bullets and primers? how about position indicators on the turret? E stop? you mentioned some but i'm curious. but it does take all the fun out of reloading your own and knowing the care that goes into each cartridge.

  • It's not the speed of the hand pull but the lack of fail safe. You can stop the stoke if necessary by hand and feel when the machine is jamming or misaligned. When is automated no fail safe, but its your house. I wouldn't do it with my XL650.

  • Way to dangerous for me. Can you say primer jam and forcing before BOOM!!!

  • I think the speed at which the machine is "pulling the handle" is probably not much faster than someone taking their time doing it manually.

So the chance of that happening are probably about the same as doing it by hand.

  • takes all the fun out of loading :( pretty nice setup though!

  • bravo Maurizio proprio un bel LAVORO....CIAO

  • This is legendary!

    Good work!

  • I hope Signore Maurizio is still keeping an eye on this automation while his machine is going.

Unattended reloading is an invitation for trouble, (if not disaster), and could cause serious potential problems down the road, such as 'squib loads'.

I'd keep and eye on every reloading aspect on each station, especially the powder drop.

Serious Hand loaders who have done reloading for years will know what I am trying to say.

  • Dear Sir, I really want to thank you for your caring advice, but I think this automatism is completely safe, it is provided with different check control (such as powder control, 3 point cylinder travel max current drain control and so on) that in case of alarm will immediately stop the machinery. I really appreciate this yours.

  • @forp68 I'd still pull a bullet from every twenty rounds to check.

  • @C0MBAT45 so what would you suggest for the many companys that have automated systems that are most likely making the very ammo that you are shooting ? where did you think that they got the info to make this machine. just food for thought my man.. no offense ment..

  • @C0MBAT45 OH, SHUT DOWN FROM THE REPLY!!!!!!

  • very good.

    what is bullet feeder???

  • There are some smart ppl around in this world nice setup mate.

  • HAHAHAHA..that is SOO BAD@SS!!!!!

    Good job man!
