people exist on very low sugar and carbohydrate diets. i have done ketogenic diets which are far less than 30g of carbohydrates per day. once your body adjusts to burning fats and ketones you feel fine.

Yes, I do love my carbs and fats. My favorite sources of fats being cashews, sometimes walnuts, virgin palm fruit oil, coconut oil and coconut butter.

@DarkPrince1785 don't go for look, go for health. and it's easy to be a vegetarian (although i am one now, i plan to go raw). no meat. but you could still have eggs, and dairy, and candy and a lot of other bad stuff. not that dairy is HORRIBLE, but there are better options. and remember, if you go raw, do your research on vitamin b12.

but what do you think of like sunwarrior protein powder when your working out a lot and stuff? its raw and vegan. have a lot of the sugars (been having that amino acid juice you did a video on (-; ) but on my workout program to really "redesign" your body they want you to have mostly protein on some days. so i was thinking adding more protein (from that source) to like green smoothies would help.
@MarielCuddiheexox I use vegan protein sources to avoid muscle breakdown, or to help rebuild muscle after fasting. I'm not a nutritionist, but speaking from experience and the way my body feels, If you're building muscle then protein is necessary for burning and building. You're not looking for the protein tho, you're looking for (fatty) amino acids to help your own produce its own protein, so by searching for vegan mixes that are pushing amino acids whilst building would be a good thing.

Bananas, grapefruit, spinach and broccoli only have 1 gram of protein or less per serving. A persons body can use up to 30 grams of protein from one meal. Fruits and vegetables are low in protein. Beans and nuts have much more protein per serving.

I am really, really interested in going vegan, and I have to admit that I have just started to clean up my diet. But as a competitive weight-lifter with my eyes on the olympics -- would I just do better to be a vegetarian? Or perhaps a pescatarian?

This guy is right about the importance of fats. ..focusing on the right quality and amounts of specific types of fats eg. proper amount and ratio of omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids. The amount of amino acids needed depends on genetics/metabolism and overall health, it is NOT the same for everyone!!!
Getting the proper amounts of EACH of the essential amino acids is VERY important - this is where vegetarians run into issues. This requires eating good combinations of foods w protein.
Unluckily for carnivores and omnivores, we cannot break down all the complex sugars in all the plants herbivores eat. And as any nutritionist can tell you , proteins are made of amino acids, one of the four essential organic molecules for all animals

I am a marathon runner and amateur kickboxer and whenever I tell people I am vegan, they always look at me with a strange look like I'm crazy and say "but what about protein ??" ... I can only buy fruits/vegetables at supermarket but they are not so fresh even if they've just been put there newly and most of them are bizarrely shaped .

Another awesome vid Dan the Man! I got a question if you don't mind. I've been trying to spread the raw food bug around here but food allergies seem to be a problem in my family. My dad is allergic to most melons and my niece is allergic to mango, nuts and papaya (probably other related foods too) Is there any way to reveres these things? If not can we do with out them? Also My mom wants to come aboard but she is diabetic and can't have too many sugars. Any input would be much appreciated!
What about a teaspoon of coconut oil every day? My mom is old-fashioned (all fat is bad fat, all sugar is bad sugar) when it comes to eating and she said that it will not help me lose weight. I try to eat 75% raw. Fruit and nuts and seeds in the early day and sometimes lentils or steamed broccoli or tilapia (fish) etc in the afternoon/evening. Do I have to be 100% raw to feel the benefits?
Do you take climate in consideration? Or balancing yin/yang energies? I have to say that after a year or so on raw food, I had started to develop asthma like symptoms-lettuce makes me cough big time. Also after a year on raw I could not run anymore...just yoga. You said that in New York you ate eggs! Eggs are yang. Fruit/veggies are yin. Everything raw is yin. Cooked food is yang. Obviously when in Yin Climate (New York) you needed yang food. When In California (yang climate) yin is good.
I have been eating avocados daily for a while now and find it helps me cut craving for chocolate and sweets.
Was on high raw until this summer when my mum stayed with me and I ate cooked food...and now I am exhausted - seriously - can't get up in the morning - need help.

Hemp seed is probably the best source of amino acids out there. Plus they have fiber, minerals, and B vitamins. Too bad the stupid things are really expensive where I live.
The body breaks all foods down into a type of sugars. But for humanity to eat sugars, is bad especially for Diabetics who have high blood sugars. The best diet for Diabetics is low carbs and very very low sugars. Veggies are all good! Also, Diabetics are not suppose to eat pastas, potatoes, rice, and grains. Theirs plenty of vegan or raw foodist body builders, athletes, etc., out there. Just look it up on google/youtube. Protein consists of amino acids & u can find them in every food u eat. When u consume animal protein ur body works hard to break down the long chains of amino acids so it can make it usable. it is much better to make ur own.

I'm a meat-eater for now, but planning to switch to 110% vegetarian ----> vegan/raw food vegan --------> Fruitarian within the not-too-distant future.
One of the things holding me back apart from social pressure (family, friends, people bitching about how meat eating is normal and sane... No it's not.) is the fact that I've never known too much when it comes to nutritional info. At all.

I'm lifting weights and gaining muscle. There's nothing wrong with gaining weight if you know what you're doing. It's great to be slim but bodybuilding can help your body be resistant to injury, as well as helping to give you immunity to disease (as long as you don't do roids)
I build muscle mass too. I don't need proteins from meat. For our health it's necessary to deliver the proper FAT (not animal, but floral, with omega-3). I try to make my food raw and natural. Each day my meals look like this:
@szymusiek1980 the yogurt's fat and milk's too has CLA conjugated linoleic Acid, the stuff that ppl buy to loose fat , and it is also very usefull in fighting cancer. research about milk and see what i mean. but i hope you use raw milk, not pasteurized . Also the egg yolks are great because of the B vitamins that provide, and I put 2 or more in my raw milkshake that looks like this: 1 or 2 cups raw milk, 1 or more banana, 2 egg yolks and sometimes less than half avocado. Try it :)
@RawClorophile I read that animal fat accumulates monde's contaminations. It's like a needless ballast. And I eliminated sweet milk from my diet, no matter if it's pasteurized or just right from the cow. Now I know- sweet milk is detrimental - but its fermentational products - oppositely. Eggs- well, it's almost like a meat. Do you think it wont cause a rotting processes in an intestines? Your meal - milk, banana, egg and avocado- is not a good connection. I follow the foods-joining principle;)

I thing if i do eliminate 2 times a day then the egg yolks even if are animal food will not rot , cause it has not enough time to sagnate in the colon. So i guess i take the B vitamins from yolks with no problems. Any diet has + & - and in any step U take in changing your diet U gain something loosing ssomethin' If we stay healthy and eliminate at least 1 time/day then less toxins and more health we got. but what do you think of like sunwarrior protein powder when your working out a lot and stuff? its raw and vegan. have a lot of the sugars (been having that amino acid juice you did a video on (-; ) but on my workout program to really "redesign" your body they want you to have mostly protein on some days. so i was thinking adding more protein (from that source) to like green smoothies would help.
any advice?

@MarielCuddiheexox I use vegan protein sources to avoid muscle breakdown, or to help rebuild muscle after fasting. I'm not a nutritionist, but speaking from experience and the way my body feels, If you're building muscle then protein is necessary for burning and building. You're not looking for the protein tho, you're looking for (fatty) amino acids to help your own produce its own protein, so by searching for vegan mixes that are pushing amino acids whilst building would be a good thing.

Bananas, grapefruit, spinach and broccoli only have 1 gram of protein or less per serving. A persons body can use up to 30 grams of protein from one meal. Fruits and vegetables are low in protein. Beans and nuts have much more protein per serving.

I never knew that it was about fat being the reason why animals eat organs.
Well of course, Vitamin K2, and Fat Soluble Vitamins A, D, and E are necessary for teeth and bones as in Weston Price concluded.
I will keep both ideas in mind, its either about protein or its either about fat.
I will experiment with both and see what's best for me. I'm either on a paleo diet, or a raw food diet with organ meats, or just a raw food diet. Got to try each 3.

This guy is right about the importance of fats. ..focusing on the right quality and amounts of specific types of fats eg. proper amount and ratio of omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids. The amount of amino acids needed depends on genetics/metabolism and overall health, it is NOT the same for everyone!!!
Getting the proper amounts of EACH of the essential amino acids is VERY important - this is where vegetarians run into issues. This requires eating good combinations of foods w protein.

Hi, I have a problem in my country, Japan.
I can only buy fruits/vegetables at supermarket but they are not so fresh even if they've just been put there newly and most of them are bizarrely shaped .
They don't taste really good.
When I went to Tokyo, I could buy much cheaper fresh fruits and vegetables there.
They tasted incredibly great.
Now I have little chance to get powerful raw food in my vicinity.
So I'm planing to eat wild weed instead.
Is it a bad idea?

Another awesome vid Dan the Man! I got a question if you don't mind. I've been trying to spread the raw food bug around here but food allergies seem to be a problem in my family. My dad is allergic to most melons and my niece is allergic to mango, nuts and papaya (probably other related foods too) Is there any way to reveres these things? If not can we do with out them? Also My mom wants to come aboard but she is diabetic and can't have too many sugars. Any input would be much appreciated!

What about a teaspoon of coconut oil every day? My mom is old-fashioned (all fat is bad fat, all sugar is bad sugar) when it comes to eating and she said that it will not help me lose weight. I try to eat 75% raw. Fruit and nuts and seeds in the early day and sometimes lentils or steamed broccoli or tilapia (fish) etc in the afternoon/evening. Do you take climate in consideration? Or balancing yin/yang energies? I have to say that after a year or so on raw food, I had started to develop asthma like symptoms-lettuce makes me cough big time. Also after a year on raw I could not run anymore...just yoga. You said that in New York you ate eggs! Eggs are yang. Fruit/veggies are yin. Everything raw is yin. Cooked food is yang. Obviously when in Yin Climate (New York) you needed yang food. When In California (yang climate) yin is good.

The best diet for Diabetics is low carbs and very very low sugars. Veggies are all good! Also, Diabetics are not suppose to eat pastas, potatoes, rice, and grains. Vegeterian yes bcoz they can consume dairy/whey/cassein etc.
Also some(very rare) vegan bodybuilders get to a decent size by taking amino acids supplements, creatine and other stuff on the side.
As far as keneth williams goes yea he has ok muscle mass but a lot of it is genetic as well.

I'm a meat-eater for now, but planning to switch to 110% vegetarian ----> vegan/raw food vegan --------> Fruitarian within the not-too-distant future.
One of the things holding me back apart from social pressure (family, friends, people bitching about how meat eating is normal and sane... No it's not.) is the fact that I've never known too much when it comes to nutritional info. At all.

I'm lifting weights and gaining muscle. There's nothing wrong with gaining weight if you know what you're doing. It's great to be slim but bodybuilding can help your body be resistant to injury, as well as helping to give you immunity to disease (as long as you don't do roids)

I build muscle mass too. I don't need proteins from meat. For our health it's necessary to deliver the proper FAT (not animal, but floral, with omega-3). I try to make my food raw and natural. Each day my meals look like this:
-apples
-oat flakes with honey and cinnamon

@szymusiek1980 the yogurt's fat and milk's too has CLA conjugated linoleic Acid, the stuff that ppl buy to loose fat , and it is also very usefull in fighting cancer. research about milk and see what i mean. but i hope you use raw milk, not pasteurized . Also the egg yolks are great because of the B vitamins that provide, and I put 2 or more in my raw milkshake that looks like this: 1 or 2 cups raw milk, 1 or more banana, 2 egg yolks and sometimes less than half avocado. Try it :)

And I eliminated sweet milk from my diet, no matter if it's pasteurized or just right from the cow. Now I know- sweet milk is detrimental - but its fermentational products - oppositely. Eggs- well, it's almost like a meat. Do you think it wont cause a rotting processes in an intestines? Your meal - milk, banana, egg and avocado- is not a good connection. I follow the foods-joining principle;)

I thing if i do eliminate 2 times a day then the egg yolks even if are animal food will not rot , cause it has not enough time to sagnate in the colon. So i guess i take the B vitamins from yolks with no problems. Any diet has + & - and in any step U take in changing your diet U gain something loosing ssomethin' If we stay healthy and eliminate at least 1 time/day then less toxins and more health we got.
