  • Great tracks! Thanks so much for these :)

  • Wait that's C Dorian? I thought its still in the key of C but starts on D.

If it's true, you don't mind telling me how many sharps or flats?

    Thank you

  • @JonnyRocket667 C Dorian has this formula (1,2,-3,4,5,6,-7) and has the same notes of Bb Major...so it's like Bb Major starting from the second degree...

  • @JonnyRocket667 First take the scale intervals of a C major scale: WWHWWWH. You're not technically starting a Dorian scale on a D note, you're starting on the second scale degree of the C major scale. So starting on the second scale degree, the scale intervals would look more like this: WHWWWHW. All that is done here is tacking that first W onto the end of the pattern and playing the notes as so.

    C Major: C D E F G A B C

    C Dorian: C D Eb F G A Bb C

Hope this helps! I know modes are confusing.

  • Cool track. Love this scale. Out of all the ones I know so far, I really like how it mixes major and minor sounding bits.

Cool stuff, thanks for posting this man.
