Actually, rats meat taste real good. I had them before, trust me you won't regret it. They taste really good if you marinate them with garlic, soy sauce and fry or BBQ them. People only eat field rats because they feed on grains, city rats are dirty and contaminated from the sewers. If you have a chance try them. For the people that say eating rats is disgusting & gross. Probably a doomed strategy long-term if many customers got sick, but it is not unimaginable that it could happen occasionally. I don't know what the odds might be of getting sick from well-cooked urban rats caught without poison. The place you went to looks good though.

i understand yous didn't have anything to eat during the war, how about now? still don't have anything to eat so yous eating rats?my next door neighbor vietnami gets the abandoned dogs from RSPCA for free and cut them in the bathroom and cook them on bbq, dog on bbq smells terrible. i asked him pork lamb beef are so cheap why do you still eat dog. he said taste is good, anyway someone complained and RSPCA bust them lately, they got $7k penalty for each person at the home, father still in jail.

I have no objection to this in principle, but what if the owner cuts corners by serving caught urban rats? Probably a doomed strategy long-term if many customers got sick, but it is not unimaginable that it could happen occasionally. I don't know what the odds might be of getting sick from well-cooked urban rats caught without poison. The place you went to looks good though.
