Skorpion, you should really watch Britney's performance of "Circus" on GMA because she KILLED it. I'll admit the "Womanizer" one didn't have the same amount of energy but the "Circus" one was her best performance in years. The energy in it was crazy and she really killed it with the dancing. B said in '02 that she wanted to win an O by the time she hit 40. She's well on her way. She ripped her last scene in Cadillac Records and I loved the scene when she sings, "All I Could Do Was Cry." In spite of all this, however, I don't believe her performance is O-worthy. She was not comparable to Halle in Monster's Ball or even HB as Dorothy D (which I think she should've won for), and nowhere near J-Foxx as Ray. B proved she has acting chops, but she has a ways to grow.

You guys are right about the relationship thing surrounding gay men. I think its because women can commit to one another and most men can't. I think Dangerously in Love is Beyonce signature song and I think she will get her Oscar, but not just yet. Though I haven't seen the movie yet, I think that she get better as time goes on.

Beyonce is a decent singer, ok actress. Her role in CR is 1000000000000 better than her role in DG where she was really horrible.
She may even improve more in "Obsessed" but she still wouldn't be a Respected Actress though. NOW anything is possible but it's the truth.
She will be the Madonna of Movies but less successful if she continues to act.

She gets roles cause of her name. She did okay in dreamgirls cause she had a good director & kept her good parts just as they have done in cadillac records.Bee doesnt have a big part in that movie, but they kept the parts that made her look good. Her good scenes, they directed it good. As a producer she can make sure that happens. She shouldnt be taken seriously as an actress untill she takes a role outside her comfort zone & does well. Ashanti hasnt hid behind her voice but gets NO credit

Let me answer that for you. They cast Beyonce because young people will come see her. She will sell tickets (because sex always sells). In a sense she's like Michael Vick when he played for Atlanta. He filled the stadium literally, but he was not a good quaterback at all... not even a little. That's Beyonce, she will fill seats. She CAN sing, don't get me wrong, but all the other stuff is hype. The dancing, the acting, the fashion... it's all hype. She's far too overrated.
