@seppukuification925 You can't tell me that you expected that was a fake deb in the bed... Nobody expected it. This show has won many awards, and has 6 seasons with every episode attracting at least a million viewers. So do you really think its a series made for special ed kids? If this show was made for special ed kids, why are you searching it up?
i enjoy the books ending better then this ending... in the book dexter and bryan kill laguerta and debrah know their secret. then bryan goes on the run
@Proteinisnice He slit his throat to kill him. All the machine did was lift him up to bleed him out a little faster, the way Brian did with his victims
Damn, I wish he had just hallucinated this so that Brian could come back in the final season. Unfortunatlly Dex left the body for the cops to find so that plot line is dead. Brian was and is the best villian and most intriguing character on the show.
season one shouldnt have ended how it did this was a really emotional scene. and they ruined the emotion at the end by putting the happy intro music on and that stupid parade
@91Tribual Ew, like I would even consider the thought of doing someone as inbred as you, you pathetic loser :P Go back to your mother's basement you tool.
@MOOSHOOPORKCHICKEN you sure know how to base your argument on wierd things outta the blue. please go and continue crying over a serial-killer being killed.stupid cunt
@91Tribual Well clearly I'm not crying right now since I saw this season like last summer you imbecile. And if you read the conversation correctly you can see that you're the one who started it. You ass.
@twooffour Because he was his REAL brother and he was only trying to help Dexter! And I resent that statement because I LOVED Brian, even when he was a figment of Dex's imagination in the latest season!
Um, yea, he was a great character, but still a dangerous, immoral psychopath.
The way he wanted to "help" Dexter was to free of him of his residual humanity - to stop living the "lie" and just start killing innocent people as he might've without the "code".
If Dexter was like Batman, he'd simply send him to hell for that. But because he's also more or less a "killer" simply bound by his code, he takes it nicely - like "yea, but I have to protect Debra".
@twooffour it's okay if you hate Brian. What you said was YOUR perspective. I think that Brian is an awesome character and he just wanted to be with his brother that he was forcefully separated from and that is MY perspective. Argument over have a nice day :)
@twooffour ACTUALLY THE FACT IS THAT BRIAN IS A COMPLEX CHARACTER AND IF YOUR SMALL MIND CAN'T COMPREHEND HIS HEART FELT INTENTIONS THEN IT'S NOT MY FAULT! EVEN DEXTER CAUGHT HIS INTENTIONS, THAT IS WHY EVEN DEXTER IS IN ANGUISH WHEN HE KILLED HIS BROTHER! AND IF YOU WATCHED THE SHOW THEN YOU WOULD KNOW THAT DEXTER WAS HESITANT IN KILLING HIS BROTHER! WATCH THE SEASON AGAIN YOU FREAKING IDIOT! END OF DISCUSSION PERIOD AND IF YOU EVEN REPLY BACK TO THIS I'M NOT EVEN GOING TO READ IT.
Complex villains are the sign of a good story, but that doesn't change the fact that Brian is still... an evil, violent and dangerous psychopath.
Lots of villains (as well as bad people in real life) have "good sides", or are good to the people they like, but that doesn't excuse their other deeds.
Brian has "heart felt intentions" for Dexter... a significant part of which is making him into a killer murdering innocents (including Debra) alongside with himself.
Dexter is in anguish because he's not quite a good person, either - he's not exactly a moral avenger of the innocent, he's found a "positive" way to channel his violent urges, and feels excluded from common human emotions.
His "love for his fellow killer brother" plays a higher role for him than a normal antihero, because he's torn between his "just side" and "killer side" - whereas a common hero would regret that his brother had turned out this way, despite his "love"...
... for him, Dexter isn't as emotionally affected by Brian's nature, and ultimately decides against him because of his "code" and Debra.
Anyway, "Dexter" is a show that challenges their viewer to remain aware that the protagonist is essentially a serial killer who barely remains at "our" side of the fence.
When they show his "brother", who's COMPLETELY on the other side (kills innocents), and show his warm feelings for Dexter and their friendly, contemplative conversations
... they expect the viewer to keep in mind what kind of person he is, and, of course, what kind of person Dexter is for reacting the way he reacts.
It wasn't meant for a naive child like you who can't get over Brian's beautiful, sad eyes in a scene and forgets that he's a guy who would butcher you in the street without hesitation - deserving of death (like the other killers Dexter kills), and CERTAINLY to be locked away forever.
Maybe you should grow up and wait another years before you continue to watch Dexter and discuss about it - in the most childish, obnoxious manner possible, ALL CAPS nonetheless - as you seem to be too immature for that at the moment.
The one person who accepted Dexter as he was, even when he slit his throat...
